Soriano (2-4) took the loss Sunday against the Twins, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Soriano held Minnesota to just one run through his first five innings, though he'd allow the first three men to reach in the sixth, ultimately resulting in three more runs (two earned) on his final line. Soriano has dropped three consecutive outings after starting the year 2-1 with a 2.70 ERA in his first three starts. His ERA now sits at 4.50 through six starts (34 innings) with a 1.47 WHIP and 26:15 K:BB. Soriano currently lines up to face the Tigers at home in his next start.

Soriano (2-3) took the loss Tuesday against Pittsburgh after allowing five runs on eight hits and four walks in 3.1 innings. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
After giving up a career-high 10 hits in his last start, Soriano yielded eight more knocks and a season-high four walks Tuesday in his shortest outing of the year in terms of innings pitched. The hard-throwing right-hander also struggled with his control, with just 45 of his 84 pitches landing for strikes. Soriano holds an underwhelming 4.34 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 22:14 K:BB over 29 innings (five starts), but he should still carry some fantasy appeal against a scuffling Twins lineup in his next scheduled appearance in Minnesota.

Soriano (2-2) took the loss against Texas on Wednesday, allowing three runs on 10 hits and two walks while striking out two batters over 5.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Soriano wasn't sharp overall Wednesday, but his loss can primarily be pinned on a poor second inning. In that frame, the right-hander allowed three hits and issued his only two walks of the contest, leading to the Rangers plating all three of their runs. Soriano did manage to show resilience by making it through the rest of his start without giving up any additional runs, though he allowed at least one runner to reach base in each frame in which he pitched. Soriano has one poor start to his stat sheet this season -- he gave up five runs over 5.1 frames April 4 against Cleveland -- but he's been effective otherwise, yielding just four runs across 20.1 innings in his other three starts.

Soriano (2-1) earned the win Thursday over the Rays, allowing one run on five hits and three walks over 7.2 innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Soriano was efficient Thursday, working into the eighth inning on just 93 pitches. He also got more than enough run support, as the Angels cruised to an 11-1 victory. Soriano's gotten off to a nice start this season, pitching to a 2.70 ERA with a 1.00 WHIP and 18:8 K:BB through his first three starts (20 innings). The right-hander is currently lined up for a road matchup with the Rangers in his next outing.

Soriano (1-1) struck out nine but was charged with the loss Friday versus the Guardians after surrendering five runs on five hits and three walks over 5.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old had his swing-and-miss stuff working as he generated 17 whiffs and set a career high with nine punchouts, but two homers by Jose Ramirez and a Brayan Rocchio double produced four of the five runs against him. Soriano began the campaign with seven scoreless frames against the White Sox, and he now has a 3.65 ERA and 14:5 K:BB through his first two starts this season.

Soriano (1-0) picked up the win in Saturday's 1-0 victory over the White Sox, scattering two hits and two walks over seven scoreless innings. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
Chicago never got a runner past first base against the right-hander. Soriano fired 46 of 73 pitches for strikes before handing things off to the Angels' bullpen in a successful 2025 debut, and after tossing 113 innings over 22 appearances (20 starts) last year, the 26-year-old should be ready to handle a bigger workload this season. Soriano's next trip to the mound is scheduled to come at home next weekend against the Guardians.

Soriano allowed one run on four hits and two walks while striking out two batters over 5.1 innings in an exhibition start against the Dodgers on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Soriano held the Dodgers scoreless until Max Muncy tagged him for a solo home run in the fifth inning. That was the only run the right-hander allowed in the outing, and he worked up to 85 pitches (including 51 strikes) in his final spring tune-up. Soriano finished the exhibition slate with a 3.60 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 21:10 K:BB over 20 innings, and he's slated to next take the mound in the Angels' third game of the regular season, which will take place Sunday in Chicago against the White Sox.

Soriano tossed three innings in a Cactus League contest against the White Sox on Wednesday, allowing one run on five hits and three walks while striking out five batters.
EDGE Analysis
While Soriano allowed frequent traffic on the basepaths, only one of the batters he put on base came around to score. This was the second straight spring appearance during which Soriano issued three walks in three innings, and he's handed out eight free passes over nine frames through four starts this spring. On the plus side, he's also struck out 13 batters after posting a modest 7.7 K/9 in the majors last season. Soriano is locked into a spot in the middle of the Angels' rotation for the coming campaign.

Soriano tossed two scoreless innings in a Cactus League contest against the Padres on Tuesday, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out one batter.
EDGE Analysis
Soriano tossed 24 pitches in the outing, 14 of which were sinkers. He maxed out at 98.2 mph with the pitch and induced three groundballs, an area in which he excels -- Soriano ranked in the 97th percentile leaguewide in groundball rate last season. The right-hander is penciled into a slot in the middle of the Angels' starting rotation this season.

Soriano (arm) is scheduled to start Tuesday's Cactus League game against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Soriano ended last season on the injured list with arm issues, which prompted an MRI on his elbow and shoulder in September. His MRI was clean and Soriano's inclusion in the pitching schedule to begin spring training suggests he's back to full strength after the long winter. If he makes it through camp unscathed, Soriano will likely be part of the Angels' starting rotation to begin the 2025 regular season after he put up a 3.42 ERA and 1.20 WHIP over 113 innings last year.
