Norberto has re-signed with the Rays on a minor league contract, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports. Norberto did not appear at any level in 2014, as he not only battled injury but was forced to serve a 50-game suspension for his ties to the infamous Biogensis scandal as well. The Rays seems confident he'll be able to contribute in 2015, but the lefty did not receive a spring training invite and thus figures to spend most of the year as organizational depth in the minors.

Rays signed LHP Jordan Norberto to a minor league contract. The 27-year-old southpaw is still in the process of recovering from Tommy John surgery, and must serve a 50-game suspension due to his ties with the Biogenesis clinic. He was a very valuable member of the A's bullpen in 2012, and could be a nice low-risk signing for the Rays.

Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports that the Rays are considering signing Jordan Norberto. Norberto won't be back until midseason while working his way back from Tommy John surgery and was also suspended 50 games for his involvement in the Biogenesis clinic. He has a career 4.00 ERA with 65 strikeouts over 78 2/3 innings but does throw in the mid-90s. The Rays are viewing him as a cheap reclamation project.

Jordan Norberto has filed a grievance against the Athletics. Norberto contends that he hurt his elbow before being optioned to Triple-A Sacramento just before Opening Day. He went on to make three unsuccessful appearances at Sacramento before being placed on their disabled list, after which he was released and then eventually underwent Tommy John surgery. "I expected more from the team after the way I pitched for them last year," said Norberto. "But I'll work hard and get a job with someone else."

Athletics released LHP Jordan Norberto. The move clears a spot for Daric Barton on the 40-man roster. Norberto is currently sidelined due to a left elbow strain. The 26-year-old had a 2.77 ERA and 46/22 K/BB ratio over 52 innings with the A's last season, so he shouldn't have a problem finding a new home once he's back to full health.

Jordan Norberto expects to miss about six weeks due to a left elbow strain. The good news is that the injury will not require surgery. The 26-year-old had a 2.77 ERA and 46/22 K/BB ratio over 52 innings with the A's last season and will function as bullpen depth in the minors once he's back to full health.
