Schoop is on the bench for Sunday's regular-season finale against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Schoop went 0-for-4 on Saturday but still hit .325 in his last 10 games. Eric Haase gets the start at first base while Dustin Garneau gears up to catch.

Schoop went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two RBI in the loss to the White Sox on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old took Dallas Keuchel deep in the fifth inning before driving in Niko Goodrum with a sacrifice fly in the eighth. The homer was his 21st of the season. Schoop also extended his hit-streak to eight games, though he only has three extra-base hits and three RBI in those contests.

Schoop went 1-for-4 with a base hit in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Schoop's base knock off Kris Bubic in the bottom of the sixth helped the 29-year-old extend his hitting streak to seven games. Though his counting-stats production has taken a hit in recent weeks -- Schoop has zero home runs, zero steals, six runs and one RBI over his last 13 games -- he continues to hold down a solid .276 average for the season. He'll stick in the lineup for Monday's make-up game against the White Sox, manning first base and batting second.

Schoop went 2-for-6 with two runs scored in Sunday's 8-7 extra-innings win over Tampa Bay.
EDGE Analysis
Schoop got plenty of chances at the plate in the 11-inning contest, and the veteran infielder continued his strong season. The 29-year-old is now slashing .281/.320/.441 with 20 home runs, 77 RBI and 78 runs scored across 139 games. He should continue to receive ample playing time and remain a solid fantasy option.

Schoop went 2-for-5 with a grand slam in Friday's 10-4 win over Tampa Bay.
EDGE Analysis
The infielder reached the 20-homer mark in style with a seventh-inning grand slam to put Detroit ahead for good. Schoop entered Friday in a 2-for-16 slump across his last four games. He's been a revelation for the Tigers this year with a .281/.320/.442 slash line, 77 RBI, 75 runs scored and a stolen base through 590 plate appearances while operating as an everyday option on the right side of the infield.

Schoop went 4-for-6 with a solo home run and two additional runs scored in Friday's 15-5 win over the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old infielder tied Jeimer Candelario for the team lead in knocks as part of an 18-hit barrage, and he took Vladimir Gutierrez deep in the third inning. Schoop snapped a 25-game homerless drought with the blast, his 19th of the year, but since the beginning of August he's slashing a respectable .285/.310/.390.

Schoop went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a walk and an RBI in Wednesday's 3-2, extra-inning loss to the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
The strong offensive showing snapped Schoop out of a three-game, 0-for-13 stretch. In his last 10 games, the infielder has hit .256 with three doubles and five RBI. In August, Schoop has played 20 games and hit .292. Home runs have eluded the 29-year-old, as he's hit just one in his last 135 at-bats, but the overall offensive production has persisted enough to maintain Schoop's fantasy intrigue.

Schoop is starting at first base and batting second in Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Schoop had been playing at second base recently with Renato Nunez getting time at first, but the Tigers designated Nunez for assignment on Saturday. That should lead to more time at first for Schoop, as is the case Sunday. Willi Castro figures to be the primary option at the keystone. No matter where he's played, Schoop has produced offensively, as he's batting .286 with 18 home runs and 68 RBI through 120 games this year.

Schoop signed a two-year, $15 million contract extension with the Tigers on Saturday, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The deal has an opt out after the 2022 season. Schoop was considered a trade candidate leading up to the July 30 deadline, but the Tigers held onto him and will now have him for at least one more season. The 29-year-old, who is slashing .289/.333/.468 with 18 home runs, 19 doubles and 64 RBI this season, is enjoying his best offensive campaign since 2017 with Baltimore. Schoop provides a bit of defensive versatility with his ability to move around the right side of the infield, although he's probably a better fit at first base, where he's played 75 games in 2021, at this point in his career.

Schoop went 2-for-3 with two walks, a double and a solo home run in Wednesday's loss to the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Schoop did all the damage for the Tigers in the 4-1 defeat, and the veteran infielder has been solid all season with 18 home runs and a .799 OPS. However, this was his first long ball since July 18 and only his third since the beginning of July. By contrast, Schoop had 10 home runs in June. While that homer surge was unlikely to last, it would be nice to see the 29-year-old finish the season with an uptick in the power department compared to his recent results.
