Lucroy went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two walks and a run scored in Friday's 7-6 loss to the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
After batting .206 with only three extra-base hits throughout April, Lucroy has followed up with one of the better months of his career to bring his overall production in line with what fantasy owners were probably expected coming into the season. Over 79 plate appearances in May, Lucroy is slashing .324/.380/.521 with eight doubles and two homers. The Rangers don't have an abundance of high on-base players on their roster, so Lucroy, who has been batting fourth recently, should continue to benefit from a favorable spot in the lineup against both right- and left-handers.

Lucroy went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 9-3 loss to the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
The Rangers saw their 10-game winning streak come to an end Saturday, but Lucroy, whose resurgence at the plate had been instrumental to the team's victorious ways, remained hot at the plate. The veteran backstop's sixth-inning homer extended his hitting streak to eight games, and he's now slashing a robust .353/.404/.549 in May.

Lucroy is not in the Rangers' Thursday lineup against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
The backstop gets a breather for the matinee, with the surprisingly hot Robinson Chirinos hitting cleanup in his stead. Lucroy has started to turn around his season with a five-game hit streak, during which he's gone 11-for-22 to raise his season-long average 60 points to .274. His owners must wait until Friday to deploy him again, though.

Lucroy is not in the lineup Saturday against the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
Lucroy has finally come around at the plate as of late, but he'll get the night off after catching each night over the past week. Robinson Chirinos will take over behind the plate in his place.

Lucroy delivered a pair of singles over his four at-bats in Friday's 5-2 win over the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
That's three multi-hit games in a row and four in the last five games for Lucroy, who has seen a 52-point rise in batting average in the past week. With only six extra-base hits on the season, Lucroy has yet to truly display the power he's historically shown, which may be due in part to a 19.1 percent line-drive rate, his worst mark since his debut season of 2010. Even if his average continues to climb, Lucroy will need to start adding more homers and doubles to his ledger in order to meet preseason expectations for those who drafted him.

Lucroy went 3-for-4 in a win over San Diego Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
It was the second consecutive multi-hit game for Lucroy, who raised his average to .253 on the season. With a .253 BABIP, he should continue to see his average creep back towards .300, a welcome sight for fantasy owners who have been more than patient with Lucroy through the first month of the season.

Lucroy went 2-for-3 with a walk in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
It's the third multi-hit game in six contests for Lucroy, and with his BABIP still sitting at .228 for the season, he'll likely stand to see more recovery in the batting average department in the weeks to come. If there's a nit to pick with Lucroy's recent improvement, it's that he's still not displaying much power. His .345 slugging percentage represents his lowest mark since his rookie campaign of 2010.

Lucroy went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Lucroy was responsible for the Rangers' only extra-base hits of the afternoon, a rare occurrence given his meager .350 slugging percentage for the season. The 30-year-old's downturn in hard contact and uptick in groundballs has depressed both his power numbers and batting average, but he's at least shown some improvement over his last eight games, slashing .296/.367/.519 with four extra-base knocks.

Lucroy is out of Saturday's lineup against the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
He will sit for the seventh time in the past 17 games -- a rate that was hardly anticipated by his owners on draft day. However, he is hitting .211/.268/.316 on the season, compared to a .296/.441/.778 slash line from backup Robinson Chirinos, so it is understandable that the Rangers are riding the hot stick. Chirinos will start behind the dish and hit ninth against righty Chase De Jong.

Lucroy is not in the Rangers' Thursday lineup against the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
The backstop is getting a breather during the matinee contest. Robinson Chirinos takes Lucroy's place behind the plate while batting eighth.
