Holder has a 5.19 ERA and a blown save in his first five appearances this season.
EDGE Analysis
Holder had a good season coming out of the Yankees' bullpen last year, with a 3.14 ERA, a 1.09 WHIP and 60 strikeouts in 66 innings, but he's given up five earned runs on nine hits in five games to start his 2019. His 1.15 WHIP and his 9:1 K:BB are still solid, but Holder wouldn't carry much value even if he does turn around the ERA, as he's currently deep on the depth chart in terms of Yankees relievers that will regularly see opportunities to get saves and holds.

Holder will serve as the starting pitcher for Monday's game against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
The Yankees are set to treat Monday's series opener as a bullpen game, with Holder likely pitching one or two innings before exiting. The right-hander owns a 2.97, 1.04 WHIP and 58:16 K:BB through 63.2 innings of relief this season.

Holder was called up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Saturday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Holder has appeared in three games for the Yankees this season, posting a 20.25 ERA and 3.00 WHIP over 2.2 innings of relief. After a rough outing with the Triple-A squad following his demotion last week, the right-hander has settled down and tossed four scoreless innings for the RailRiders, and will likely take the place of another reliever on the Yankees' 25-man roster. Expect to see him serve out of low-leverage situations while in the big leagues.

Holder was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The Yankees suffered several injuries in Friday's game, so reinforcements were needed from Triple-A and Holder was deemed expendable. He should be summoned back to the big leagues at some point when the Yankees need a fresh bullpen arm.

Holder appears to have secured a spot on the Yankees' Opening Day roster, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Yankees' plans for Holder could change if first baseman Greg Bird (foot) is forced to open the season on the disabled list, but for the time being, the right-hander looks to be part of New York's eight-man bullpen. With a dominant closer in Aroldis Chapman and elite crew of setup men that includes Dellin Betances, Chad Green, Tommy Kahnle and David Robertson, it's difficult to imagine Holder seeing much high-leverage work this season.

Holder was promoted to the big leagues prior to the Yankees' game against Baltimore on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Holder was sent down to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre following the acquisition of a couple pitchers at the trade deadline, after appearing in 34 games for New York out of the bullpen in the first four months of the 2017 season. Over that span, the right-hander accumulated a 3.58 ERA and 1.33 WHIP, and continued his success at the Triple-A level during the last six weeks. Holder figures to add depth out of the bullpen moving forward.

Holder was optioned to Triple-A Scranton after Monday night's game, Pete Caldera of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
With the Yankees bringing on Sonny Gray and Jaime Garcia at the trade deadline, they need to make space on the 25-man roster. Holder owned a solid 3.58 ERA and 37 strikeouts in 37.2 innings, but as he has options remaining, he was the most expendable member of the New York bullpen. Expect him back when rosters expand in September, if not earlier.

Holder was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
The 24-year-old has a stellar 1.50 ERA out of the RailRiders' bullpen, and with long reliever Luis Cessa returning to the minors, Holder was an easy choice to bring back to the Bronx. He should fill the long-relief role in the Yankees' bullpen until he heads back to the minors.

Holder was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
For the second time this season, Holder made a three-inning appearance out of the bullpen for the Yankees in Saturday's win over the Red Sox, yielding no runs on one hit and no walks. It's likely that Holder will be back with the big club before long, but since he wouldn't have been available for Sunday's doubleheader, the Yankees decided to send him back to the minors in exchange for a fresh arm.

Holder was recalled by the Yankees on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Holder will return to the Yankee bullpen nearly two weeks after being sent down to Triple-A, where he appeared in just two games. Over 33.1 innings of relief this season, the 24-year-old has a 3.78 ERA to go along with 33 strikeouts and a .284 BAA, so he likely slots back into a middle-relief role going forward. Luis Cessa was sent down to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to free up room on the roster.
