Davis (undisclosed) was activated off the injured list and optioned to the Blue Jays' alternate training site Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Davis missed the start of summer camp with an undisclosed issue, but he reported during the second week of July and is now fully clear of the issue. The 28-year-old could join the Blue Jays later in the season if they need some outfield depth.

Davis (undisclosed) joined Blue Jays camp Monday, Scott Mitchell of TSN.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis landed on the 10-day injured list with an undisclosed issue in early July and remains on the list even though he's been cleared to link up with his teammates. It's not clear whether he'll have time to get in game shape by Opening, though he's buried down the outfield depth chart and isn't likely to fill a significant role even when healthy.

The Blue Jays placed Davis on the 10-day injured list Wednesday due to an unspecified issue.
EDGE Analysis
Davis was one of four Blue Jays placed on the IL, with no explanation given for any of the transactions. The move is retroactive to June 30, so if deemed healthy, Davis would be eligible to return from the IL before the Blue Jays begin their season July 23 or 24. The 28-year-old is expected to serve as a backup outfielder for Toronto in 2020 after spending the bulk of the 2019 campaign at Triple-A Buffalo, with whom he slashed .262/.382/.449 with 10 home runs and 13 steals over 352 plate appearances.

Davis went 3-for-13 (.231) with all three hits going for extra bases (two doubles, one home run) in Grapefruit League play.
EDGE Analysis
The athletic 27-year-old also stole a base on his only attempt. Davis was in camp competing for the 26th-man role on the big-league roster, but given that the Jays have two other outfielders out of minor-league options in Derek Fisher and Anthony Alford, Davis is expected to be at Triple-A Buffalo once again when the regular season begins.

Davis was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Davis has received 52 big-league plate appearances this season, hitting .140/.173/.200. He's fared far better for Buffalo, hitting .262/.382/.449.

The Blue Jays optioned Davis to Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bullpen depth was a greater priority for the Blue Jays heading into their series finale with the Orioles than having an extra outfielder on hand, so Davis will cede his spot on the active roster to reliever Justin Shafer. Davis' stay with the big club lasted just two days, with the 27-year-old going 0-for-1 in his lone plate appearance.

Davis was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo on Friday, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis was sent down to Buffalo in early June but makes his way back to the majors with Lourdes Gurriel (wrist) and Randall Grichuk (back) nursing injuries. Davis struggled during his first stint with the Blue Jays this season and posted a .143/.176/.204 slash line in 51 plate appearances.

Davis was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Davis never found his footing with the big club, slashing just .143/.176/.204 with one homer and one stolen base in 17 appearances for Toronto. As such, he'll return to the minors to smooth some kinks out before potentially rejoining the Blue Jays at a later point this season. Teoscar Hernandez was recalled from Buffalo in a corresponding move.

Davis isn't in Tuesday's starting lineup against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Davis has already received two days off in June, with his last start dating back to Saturday in Colorado. Randal Grichuk will move over to center field and Cavin Biggio draws the start in right with Davis on the bench.

Davis is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis' move to the bench ends a stretch of five straight starts, during which he went 3-for-14. That modest showing at the plate actually improved Davis' season slash line to .143/.176/.204 through 51 plate appearances, so it wouldn't be surprising if the Blue Jays soon pulled the plug on him as an everyday player. Randal Grichuk will fill in for Davis in center field in the series finale.
