Bride signed a minor-league contract with the Rangers on Tuesday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Bride finished 2025 with a mere .435 OPS over 125 plate appearances between Miami and Minnesota. He slashed .281/.423/.453 over 43 games in Triple-A, however, which was enough to earn him a shot with the Rangers this spring. He'll most likely report to Triple-A Round Rock at the start of the upcoming season.

The Twins outrighted Bride to Triple-A St. Paul on Wednesday, Phil Miller of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.

Royce Lewis (hamstring) is a logical candidate to be activated from the 10-day injured list with Bride removed from the 40-man roster.

Bride started at third base and went 1-for-2 in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Reds. He ended an 0-for-25 skid at the plate with a fifth inning single before he was lifted for a pinch hitter in the sixth inning.

Bride was hitting just .133 with a .378 OPS in 20 games since May 1 before Tuesday. He was likely a candidate to be sent down or released, but now could see an increase in playing time if he can get going at the plate with Royce Lewis back on the injured list with a groin injury.

Bride will start at third base and bat fifth in Sunday's game against the Royals.

Bride has picked up starts in four of the Twins' last five games, but he still looks to be stuck in a short-side platoon role. Bride went 3-for-5 with one RBI and a run scored in Monday's 11-1 win against the Guardians.

The 29-year-old notched his best performance as a Twin, collecting his first three-hit game since Sept. 24, 2024 as a Marlin, coincidentally in Minnesota. Bride joined the Twins on April 16 and has hit .500 (7-for-14) in limited action. Given this effort, it is possible Bride garners more starts while Luke Keaschall (forearm) is on the injured list.

The Twins acquired Bride from the Marlins on Wednesday in exchange for cash considerations, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
