Singleton went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 6-1 loss to the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Singleton has hit safely in seven of his last nine games, going 8-for-31 (.258) with two homers and five RBI in that span. Since the start of July, he's batting .231, which is right in line with his .234 average for the season. He's added a .676 OPS, nine homers, 28 RBI, 38 runs scored, seven doubles and no stolen bases over 86 contests, and he doesn't appear to be in any immediate danger of relinquishing his starting role at first base.

Singleton went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Friday against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Singleton has been out of the Astros' lineup for only two games in July but has struggled considerably by hitting .221 with a 29.3 percent strikeout rate across 68 at-bats. He did manage his first home run in 13 starts Friday, bringing his total on the campaign to eight. The Astros haven't shown any signs of benching Singleton, though his playing time could be in danger once Kyle Tucker (shin) is able to return.

Singleton went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Saturday against the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Singleton was in the lineup for the eighth time in the last 10 games and has taken advantage of that opportunity. Saturday's long ball marked his second home run in that span, and he's also driven in six and scored six runs while hitting .355. If Yordan Alvarez (knee) is forced to miss any additional time, Singleton's spot in the lineup should only become more secure.

Singleton is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against Toronto, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Singleton had started in four straight games at first base, but he'll yield to Grae Kessinger on Wednesday. Since Jose Abreu was released June 14, Singleton is batting .324 with a homer, four runs scored and four RBI.

Singleton will start at first base and bat fifth in Monday's game against the Blue Jays, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Singleton looks to have indirectly overtaken Joey Loperfido for a regular spot in Houston's typical lineup versus right-handed pitching. Though Mauricio Dubon had been poaching playing time from Singleton at first base, Dubon has now made his last three starts at second base, left field and right field while Singleton has covered first base in each of those contests and Loperfido has been on the bench. Singleton closed June on a high note, going 7-for-16 with a home run, a walk, four RBI and two additional runs over his last five games.

Singleton took Mets starter Luis Severino deep in the second inning for his sixth homer of the season and first in over a month. The first baseman later added two more hits, giving him his first three-hit game of the season. Through 59 games, Singleton has accumulated 205 plate appearances, totaling six home runs, three doubles, 18 RBI, 23 runs and a 26:53 BB:K.

Singleton is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
The lefty-hitting Singleton will sit for the second straight game Sunday despite right-hander Albert Suarez taking the mound for Baltimore. With Singleton in the dugout, Yainer Diaz will serve as the designated hitter, Yordan Alvarez will start in left field and Mauricio Dubon will shift to first base.

Singleton is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Despite Baltimore sending right-hander Corbin Burnes to the mound Saturday, the lefty-hitting Singleton will begin the game in the dugout. In Friday's 14-11 win over the Orioles, Singleton went 2-for-5 with two RBI while scoring himself twice. Mauricio Dubon will shift to first base while Chase McCormick gets the nod in right field.

Singleton isn't in the Astros' lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Left-hander Garrett Crochet will start on the hill for Chicago, so the lefty-hitting Singleton will retreat to the bench. Mauricio Dubon will slide over to first base instead, opening up left field for Cooper Hummel.

Singleton is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Tigers but should get most of the at-bats at first base moving forward, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Jose Abreu off the roster, Singleton should be the clear-cut option at first base for the Astros, but he'll take a seat Friday with lefty Tarik Skubal on the mound for Detroit. Manager Dana Brown indicated Friday that Houston could look to acquire another first baseman unless Singleton "takes the bull by the horn," but Singleton should take the lion's share of first base work for the time being. Singleton is slashing .213/.316/.333 on the year but is 7-for-37 (.189) against LHP. Mauricio Dubon will play first and bat sixth Friday.
