Gray (forearm) is on the Rangers' roster for the American League Championship Series against the Astros, which begins Sunday night in Houston, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander landed on the 15-day injured list with lower forearm tightness after his Sept. 25 start against the Angels, and he'll join the playoff roster after the Rangers advanced through the wild-card series and the ALDS. Max Scherzer (shoulder) also made the roster, potentially lining up Gray to start Game 4 on Thursday since Jordan Montgomery and Nathan Eovaldi are pitching the first two games of the series.

Gray (forearm) is on track to rejoin the rotation if the Rangers advance to the ALCS, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gray landed on the 15-day injured list just before the end of the regular season due to tightness in his lower right forearm, but he has apparently been trending well with his side work. Max Scherzer (shoulder) could also potentially become an option for Texas in the best-of-seven ALCS, rounding out a four-starter mix that already includes Jordan Montgomery and Nathan Eovaldi. If at least Gray is able to return, Andrew Heaney and Dane Dunning would most likely operate in bulk relief.

The Rangers placed Gray on the 15-day injured list Friday, retroactive to Sept. 28, with right lower forearm tightness.
EDGE Analysis
Gray made an early exit from his last start Monday against the Angels due to right wrist/forearm tightness and can now be ruled out for the remainder of the regular season. He could potentially return in the postseason if the Rangers are able to stage a deep run, but that all remains to be seen. The 31-year-old right-hander finishes with a 9-8 record, 4.12 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 142:54 K:BB in 29 starts covering 157.1 innings.

Gray (wrist) underwent imaging Tuesday and is awaiting the results, MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gray was removed from Monday's game ahead of the bottom of the seventh inning. He came out to warm up but quickly left with trainers. The Rangers have described the decision to remove the right-hander as precautionary.

Gray was removed from Monday's start against the Angels due to right wrist tightness, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports. He allowed one run on five hits while striking out seven over six innings before leaving the game.
EDGE Analysis
Gray went out to the mound to work the bottom of the seventh inning, but he didn't feel quite right during his warmups and ultimately left the game with trainers. He'll be considered day-to-day until the team evaluates him further.

Gray did not factor into the decision Wednesday, allowing four runs on four hits and a walk over 2.1 innings against the Red Sox. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
Gray found himself in an early 3-0 hole after surrendering a first-inning homer to Adam Duvall before Bobby Dalbec tacked on a fourth run with a solo blast in the second. While the Rangers' would rally to win thanks to a 15-run outburst, it was another disappointing outing for Gray, who's failed to make it through four innings in each of his last three starts, allowing eight runs in that span (8.2 innings). Overall, the 31-year-old Gray is 8-8 with a 4.22 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 135:54 K:BB through 28 starts (151.1 innings) this season. He'll look to get on track in his next outing, currently scheduled for early next week against the Angels.

Gray (8-8) took the loss Friday, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks over 3.2 innings against the Guardians. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Gray earned the loss, and while it was not his best effort a tip of the hat can also be extended to Andrew Heaney, who allowed six runs over the subsequent two innings and the Rangers offense, which was stymied until the ninth with the game already out of hand. Gray has allowed at least three earned runs in his last five starts and seven of his last nine for an ERA of 5.72 over that stretch. With the Rangers in a dog fight to win the AL West, Gray will look to right the ship in his next start, tentatively scheduled to take place mid-week at home against Boston.

Gray allowed four runs (three earned) on four hits and two walks while striking out three over 2.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Athletics on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Gray got into trouble in the third inning, and Andrew Heaney was brought in to finish off the frame. This was the third time this season Gray has failed to complete three innings, though he's escaped with a no-decision in each of those outings. The right-hander has allowed 16 runs (15 earned) across 23.2 innings during his five-start winless streak. He's now at a 3.96 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 131:51 K:BB through 145.1 innings over 26 starts this year. Gray is tentatively projected to make his next start on the road in Cleveland.

Gray did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing three runs on seven hits and four walks over five innings against Minnesota. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
Gray kept the Twins off the board through four, but a three-run homer by Royce Lewis tied the game for the Twins and cost Gray a chance to pick up his ninth win. The eight strikeouts were a silver-lining in an otherwise mediocre outing that saw him allow 11 Twins to reach base. Gray has now struck out 22 batters over his last 15 innings but has a 6.60 ERA during that same span. His next start is scheduled to take place next weekend in what looks to be a much softer matchup at home against Oakland.

Gray did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing three runs on four hits and a walk over six innings against the Mets. He struck out nine.
EDGE Analysis
It was a strong bounce-back performance from Gray after he surrendered five runs in a loss to Arizona in his last outing. His nine strikeouts were the most he's had in a game since June 7. Overall, Gray's 8-7 with a 3.79 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 120:45 K:BB across 24 starts (137.2 innings) this season. He's currently lined up for a home matchup with the Twins this weekend in his next start.
