Field signed with the Kansas City Monarchs of the independent American Association on Tuesday, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.
EDGE Analysis
Field played in 84 major-league games for the Rays and Twins in 2018, hitting .222/.254/.403. If he impresses in independent ball, he could wind up back with an MLB organization in the future, but his chances of making a significant impact are slim.

Field was reassigned to minor-league camp Saturday, Sahadev Sharma of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Field was always a longshot to crack the Opening Day roster but performed well this spring with a .308/.390/.538 slash line and four home runs in 52 at-bats. The power stroke seems unlikely to continue given the 27-year-old's career high in the minors is 14 home runs, but he should nonetheless provide solid outfield depth at Triple-A for the Cubs.

Field went unclaimed on waivers Tuesday and was sent outright to Triple-A Iowa.
EDGE Analysis
Field was claimed off waivers by the Cubs at the start of November and will remain in the organization after being removed from the 40-man roster last week. The 26-year-old should provide outfield depth for the Cubs next season after posting a .222/.254/.403 slash line over 83 games in his rookie campaign.

Field was claimed off waivers by the Cubs on Thursday, Carrie Muskat of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
This marks the fourth different organization Field will call home dating back to the beginning of the season. After spending the first four months of the year with Tampa Bay, he was briefly claimed by Cleveland before winding up on the Twins for the remainder of the campaign. Field played in 84 big-league games during his rookie season, hitting just .222/.254/.403 with nine home runs, 21 RBI and four stolen bases. He will serve as additional outfield depth for Chicago heading into next year.

Field went 4-for-5 with a double, a homer, two RBI and two runs scored in a 9-6 win over Kansas City on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie outfielder had a career day and hit his first long ball since June 1. Still, Field owns an unsightly .212 average in 203 at-bats with the Twins and Rays this season.

Field was optioned to Triple-A Rochester following Saturday's game, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
An 0-for-2 showing in Saturday's game dropped Fields' batting line to .200/.240/.346 for the season. The expectation is that Robbie Grossman will take his place on the roster. Fields may be up in September, although it's not a lock that he's still on the Twins' 40-man when rosters expand.

Field was recalled from Triple-A Rochester on Monday, Brandon Warne of ZoneCoverage.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Field will join the Twins for the first time since being claimed off waivers over the weekend. The 26-year-old will take the roster spot of Robbie Grossman, who was sent to the disabled list with a hamstring strain in a corresponding roster move. Field owns a lackluster .213/.253/.373 slash line across 62 major-league games this season and should primarily serve as a reserve outfielder during his time with the big club.

Field was claimed off waivers by the Twins on Friday and optioned to Triple-A Rochester, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Field was recently DFA'd by the Indians after joining the organization just over a week ago last Tuesday. Prior to his stint in Cleveland, he played in 63 games for the Rays this year, slashing .213/.253/.373 with six home runs, 14 RBI and four stolen bases.

Field was claimed off waivers by the Indians on Tuesday and optioned to Triple-A Columbus, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cleveland is lacking organizational outfield depth and will bring in Field, who was designated for assignment by the Rays last weekend. He could very well be cut again if the Indians swing more trades in the next week leading up to the deadline. Field hit just .213/.253/.373 with 58 strikeouts in 179 plate appearances with Tampa Bay.

Field was designated for assignment by the Rays on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Field appeared in 63 games for the Rays this season, hitting just .213/.253/.373 with a very low walk rate (3.9 percent) and a very high strikeout rate (32.4 percent). He was removed from the 25-man roster before the break and is now off the 40-man roster as well. It remains to be seen whether or not another team thinks he's worth taking a chance on with a waiver claim.
