The Twins signed Andreoli to a minor-league contract Tuesday and assigned him to Triple-A St. Paul.
EDGE Analysis
Andreoli quickly caught on with a new organization after the Phillies released him from his minor-league deal over the weekend. The 31-year-old outfielder, who appeared in seven games in the majors with the Padres in 2021, was slashing .144/.328/.250 in 136 plate appearances at Triple-A Lehigh Valley this season before being cut loose.

Andreoli agreed Tuesday with the Phillies on a minor-league contract, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Though he joins a Phillies organization that's extremely thin on experienced outfielders beyond reigning National League MVP Bryce Harper, Andreoli likely won't be competing for anything more than a bench role on the Opening Day roster. Even that may be ambitious for the 31-year-old journeyman, given that he'll be attending camp as a non-roster invitee and has turned in a career .224/.284/.269 slash line over 74 plate appearances in the majors between the 2018 and 2021 seasons. Andreoli is more realistically being viewed by the Phillies as organizational outfield depth at the Triple-A level.

Andreoli was returned to Triple-A El Paso on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Andreoli appeared in seven games during his recent stint in the majors and went 1-for-6 with a double, two runs, a walk and three strikeouts. He'll head back to Triple-A after Fernando Tatis and Eric Hosmer were reinstated from the COVID-19 injured list Wednesday.

Andreoli was recalled to the San Diego roster Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old has hit just .105 in 19 Triple-A at-bats this year, but will fill one of the three roster spots left by COVID-19 designations. Andreoli's stay on the big-league roster figures to be brief, barring positive COVID-19 tests for either Jurickson Profar or Jorge Mateo, whom were both deemed close contacts of Fernando Tatis.

Andreoli was removed from the Red Sox's 60-player pool Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old earned a spot in the 60-man pool to start summer camp, but it doesn't appear he ever made a serious push for a roster spot. Andreoli last played in the majors in 2018 with the Orioles and Mariners with a .230/.284/.262 slash line in 26 games.

Andreoli was added to the Red Sox's 60-man player pool.
EDGE Analysis
Andreoli, who is not on the 40-man roster, is a 30-year-old journeyman outfielder and joins his hometown team for the 2020 season. The Worcester (Mass.) native has 26 games worth of MLB experience (all in 2018) and 889 games in the minors, including 570 at the Triple-A level. Ostensibly, he'll compete for an outfield position, but the Red Sox have what appears to be a five-man set already in place, unless they don't want to deploy J.D. Martinez in the outfield.

Andreoli signed with the Red Sox as a non-roster invitee Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Andreoli appeared in 26 big-league games with the Mariners and Orioles in 2018 but did not play a game at that level last season. In 116 Triple-A games in the Twins' and Mariners' organizations, the 29-year-old hit .255/.389/.449.

The Mariners acquired Andreoli from the Twins on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Andreoli was assigned to Triple-A Tacoma and entered the lineup Sunday, going 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored. The outfielder has now been in the Seattle organization for three separate stints, with his second one coming to an end in January, when he was claimed off waivers by the Rangers. After joining Texas, Andreoli spent time with the Giants and Twins before resurfacing with Seattle.

EDGE Analysis
Andreoli is with his fifth organization of the offseason after passing through Baltimore, Seattle, San Francisco and Texas. He'll likely end up adding depth at Triple-A for the Twins.

Andreoli cleared waivers Friday and was invited to spring training as a non-roster invitee, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Andreoli will remain with his fourth organization of the offseason after passing through Baltimore, Seattle and Texas. The 28-year-old didn't do much in his debut season, hitting .230/.284/.262 in 67 plate appearances, but he's posted above-average batting lines at the Triple-A level for four straight seasons. He has a chance to be a competent bench player should a roster spot open up.
