Ross (shoulder) is "feeling great" after throwing a 25-pitch bullpen session Tuesday, Chase Hughes of CSN Mid Atlantic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tuesday marked a major step forward in Ross' rehab as he was able to get on a mound after several stops, starts, and delays over the past month to allow his shoulder inflammation to subside. He was able to throw 25 pitches without issue, so the Nationals will likely wait to see how he's feeling Wednesday before deciding the next step of the process. Given the length of his rehab, Ross could need a couple more bullpen sessions before returning to game action.

Ross (shoulder) will throw a bullpen session Tuesday, MASN's Dan Kolko reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's taken Ross a little longer to get back on the mound than the Nationals hoped, but it appears he is finally ready to do so. Ross' next step after that has yet to be determined, but with potential rehab opportunities evaporating with the minor league season winding down, the Nationals are considering bringing him back as a reliever -- at least temporarily -- in order to build up his pitch count in that role.

Ross (shoulder) was scheduled to throw a bullpen session this past week but did not do so, according to CSN's Mark Zuckerman.
EDGE Analysis
Ross appeared to be on track to throw a bullpen session last Tuesday or Wednesday, but this report notes that he has still not reached that point in his recovery. Ross has been playing catch on flat ground regularly, so he should have a chance to thrown from a mound at some point this week.

Ross (shoulder) will throw a bullpen session Tuesday or Wednesday during the Nationals' current series with the Rockies, Byron Kerr of MASN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Depending on how the bullpen session goes, Ross may be ready for a rehab assignment soon. He has been out since July 2 due to the shoulder injury, and if he isn't ready to start pitching soon, he may struggle to return. Minor league seasons will be ending in late August and early September, which will make it hard for him to find an opportunity to shake the rust off before making a return to the rotation. We'll know more about the club's plan for Ross after his bullpen session.

Ross (shoulder) threw in the outfield prior to Saturday's game and came out of it well, CSN Mid-Atlantic's Chase Hughes reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is the second day in a row that he has thrown with no setbacks. He will likely progress to a bullpen session at some point in the near future, and then he would be nearing a rehab assignment. Right now, Reynaldo Lopez is occupying Ross's spot in the rotation, but Ross will have no problem getting that spot back if he can return before the end of the season. If everything were to go smoothly from here in his recovery, an early-September return could be within reach.

Ross (shoulder) played catch on Friday but still has no timetable on his return, William Ladson of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ross will need to continue to have successful sessions playing catch before he can be considered to go out on a rehab assignment. If Ross continues to progress, he could return to the Nationals rotation sometime in September. Fantasy owners shouldn't count on this as Ross was already shut down once after making a couple of rehab appearances.

Ross (shoulder) has been pulled from his rehab assingment due to shoulder soreness, CSN Mid-Atlantic's Chase Hughes reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is a big blow to the Nationals and those who were hoping Ross would help their fantasy teams in the near future. He will be shut down for now to see if rest can alleviate the soreness, but it's certainly not a lock that he will return for the Nationals this season. In the meantime, Washington can go with a four-man rotation until Aug. 16, at which point Lucas Giolito or Reynaldo Lopez could be recalled to step into the rotation. The Nationals could also opt to bring someone up from Triple-A sooner than that date if they want to give their core four starters a bit of a breather.

Ross (shoulder) will likely throw just one more rehab start at Triple-A Syracuse, Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Dusty Baker expects Ross to return to the rotation August 16, the next time the Nationals will need a fifth starter. The right-hander made his second rehab start Saturday, allowing seven hits and three earned runs over 4.2 innings.

Ross (shoulder) will make a rehab start with Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNsports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After a successful first outing with Low-A Hagerstown last Sunday, Ross is now set to advance his rehab to the top minor league affiliate for Saturday's start. Nothing's definite, but the expectation is that Ross will need at least one additional start beyond Saturday to prepare for a return the majors, as he only built his pitch count up to 43 in his appearance with Hagerstown.

Ross (shoulder) will throw a bullpen session on Wednesday and will need another start or two before being activated by the Nationals, Mark Zuckerman of MASNsports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ross threw a successful three innings on Sunday during a rehab appearance for Low-A Hagerstown. It was thought that Ross might be able to return to the Nationals later this week, but it now looks like that has been pushed back another week or so as he continues to recover from his injured shoulder.
