Ross (shoulder) played catch on Friday but still has no timetable on his return, William Ladson of MLB.com reports.

Ross will need to continue to have successful sessions playing catch before he can be considered to go out on a rehab assignment. If Ross continues to progress, he could return to the Nationals rotation sometime in September. Fantasy owners shouldn't count on this as Ross was already shut down once after making a couple of rehab appearances.
