Colon (suspension) was outrighted to Triple-A Columbus on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
This move was procedural, as Colon's suspension came to an end Sunday. Prior to getting suspended in July, Colon pitched 32.2 innings over 28 games with Columbus. In that time he posted a 4.13 ERA and 1.58 WHIP.

Colon will be suspended for the rest of the 2017 campaign after testing positive to a banned substance.
EDGE Analysis
Colon had been putting together a respectable season at Triple-A Columbus, posting an ERA of 4.13 with 34 strikeouts in 32.2 innings of work with six saves to his name. Instead, the 27-year-old will miss the remainder of the season after testing positive for the Selective Androgen Receptor Modulator, which is a performance-enhancing substance. Colon hadn't pitched at the major-league level since last year.

Colon is the leading candidate to be recalled once the Indians come across the need for an extra reliever, Brian Hemminger of SB Nation reports.
EDGE Analysis
The big right-hander struggled last season in his MLB debut, going 1-3 while posting a 7.20 ERA over 11 outings. However, for a second straight Triple-A campaign, Colon is outmatching opponents. He owns a 2.61 ERA while holding hitters to a .227 BAA this season. His 1.40 ERA and 19:12 K:BB leaves something to be desired, but overall, Colon is the most viable option for the Indians to promote at some point this year.

Colon was optioned to Triple-A Columbus on Sunday, Paul Hoynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Colon was recalled Wednesday to provide bullpen depth, but did not make an appearance during the short stint with the club. His roster spot was needed to make room for Sunday's starter, Mike Clevinger.

Colon was recalled from Triple-A Columbus on Wednesday, the Cleveland Plain Dealer's Paul Hoynes reports.
EDGE Analysis
He was summoned to replace Corey Kluber, who landed on the DL with a stiff back, on the active roster, but might just be up for temporary bullpen help. Mike Clevinger is expected to be recalled from Triple-A to take Kluber's spot in the rotation.

Colon was optioned to the minor leagues Sunday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Colon pitched 10 innings for the Indians in 2016 but will begin the 2017 campaign in Triple-A Columbus. He's a candidate to return to the majors if an injury occurs to one of the team's relievers.

Colon appeared in just one game and recorded two outs during Puerto Rico's three first-round games at the World Baseball Classic.
EDGE Analysis
It's fair to say that -- so far -- Colon's decision to join Puerto Rico for the WBC was a miscalculation. The righty entered camp competing for a job in the team's bullpen, but opted to earn his Opening Day spot by showing his skills on the world stage. Unfortunately for Colon, it's not looking like he'll get a chance to show much of anything before returning to Indians camp with little more than a week remaining before Opening Day. It's likely the 27-year-old will need to log some innings in the minors before pitching in the MLB regular season.

Colon will play for Team Puerto Rico in the upcoming World Baseball Classic, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Colon will join teammates Francisco Lindor and Roberto Perez on the Puerto Rican squad for the 2017 tournament. The right-handed reliever appeared in 11 games for the Indians last season with mixed results. He'll battle for a bullpen job this spring, and the WBC will be a great opportunity for Colon to get a head start on the race.

Colon was recalled to the majors Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
With rosters expanding Thursday, Colon will have the chance to rejoin the big league roster. The 26-year-old had been terrific working out of the bullpen with Triple-A Columbus, working to a minuscule 0.82 ERA with 21 strikeouts in 22 innings. He's already had a brief stint in Cleveland this year and now figures to add right-handed relief depth during the final month of the regular season.

Colon (shoulder) was activated from the DL and optioned to Triple-A Columbus, Paul Hoynes of Cleveland.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Colon has pitched just 3.2 innings with Cleveland this season, during which he's allowed one earned run and recorded four strikeouts. He's been fantastic over his 17 games with Columbus, where he owns a 1.04 ERA and 0.82 WHIP for the year. However, his control has room to improve, as he's posted a lofty walk-rate of 13.6 percent.
