Winker went 1-for-2 with a walk and one run scored in Monday's 15-2 win against the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
After being acquired from the Nationals on Sunday, Winker drew his first start with the Mets in right field while hitting fifth. The veteran outfielder walked and then scored on a Jeff McNeil single in the fourth in his second plate appearance before lacing a single off Cole Sands in the fifth inning. Winker is now hitting .258 with 11 homers and 14 steals this season and should garner starts in the middle of the Mets' lineup against right-handed pitching.

The Nationals and Mets agreed to a trade Saturday contingent upon players passing physicals that will send Winker to New York, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Assuming all players involved are medically cleared, Winker will bolster the Mets' corner outfield depth and could see some action at DH. In Jeff McNeil and Brandon Nimmo, the Mets already have a pair of quality lefty-handed bats in the corner outfield positions, and J.D. Martinez has been the team's everyday DH, leaving Winker's immediate role up in the air. Winker is batting .257 on the year with 11 homers, 14 steals, 51 runs and 45 RBI.

Winker went 1-for-1 with three walks, two runs scored and two stolen bases in Friday's 8-5 win over the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
With his two steals Friday, Winker's up to 14 stolen bases on the year -- the 30-year-old outfielder hadn't recorded more than one stolen base in any of his previous seven campaigns. While Winker went just 2-for-16 in his six games prior to the All-Star break, he's had a strong bounce-back campaign overall in Washington, slashing .263/.38/.434 with 11 homers, 43 RBI and 49 runs scored.
