Jerome Williams was pounded for six runs in 3 1/3 innings by the Mariners on Friday. Williams has allowed 17 earned runs in seven innings this month, taking his ERA from 3.21 to 4.60. The Angels will probably seek to replace him in the rotation after the break, whether it's with an outside acquisition or perhaps with Garrett Richards.

Jerome Williams will make his next start on Saturday against the Red Sox. Williams was destroyed by the Cardinals on Wednesday, surrendering seven runs in just 1 2/3 innings. The short outing and limited pitch count however, allow him to come back on short rest to fill-in on Saturday. He remains a weak mixed league option against the potent Red Sox lineup.

Jerome Williams was torched for seven runs in 1 2/3 innings by the Cardinals on Wednesday. Williams had been rock solid as a starter for the Angels this season, but he couldn't get through the second in this one. Four walks doomed him in the seven-run inning. Two of them went to Allen Craig, a guy who had walked just 15 times in 309 at-bats on the season.

Jerome Williams held the Astros to one run in 6 1/3 innings in a no-decision Friday. Williams scattered five hits against three walks and three strikeouts. The only run scored on a solo home run by Jason Castro in the bottom of the fourth inning. The veteran right-hander holds a 3.21 ERA and 53/23 K/BB ratio over 84 innings this season and should continue to hold a spot in the Angels' rotation with Tommy Hanson on the mend. He has a tough matchup against the Cardinals next week, so steer clear outside of AL-only leagues.

Jerome Williams surrendered five runs -- four earned -- on eight hits and two walks over six innings in a loss Saturday to the Pirates. He struck out three. Starting in place of the injured Jason Vargas, Williams was hit hard. He allowed four extra-base hits, including two home runs. Williams has only 50 strikeouts over 77 2/3 innings, but his 5-3 record and 3.36 ERA have made him a nice piece in AL-only formats.

Jerome Williams won despite allowing four runs in six innings Wednesday against the Orioles. The Angels were down 4-2 when Williams threw his final pitch, but they scored six runs in the top of the seventh to put him in line for the win. Williams was making his latest start today as a result of last Saturday's doubleheader. He's likely to return to the pen now, but that could hinge on what happens with Joe Blanton.

Jerome Williams will start Wednesday against the Orioles. The Angels need a spot-starter after playing a doubleheader Saturday, so Williams will be promoted from the bullpen. He has a 2.87 ERA in 16 appearances (six starts) this season.

The Angels have moved Jerome Williams to the bullpen. Williams is listed as a reliever on Wednesday's lineup card. The decision to move him to the bullpen comes as no surprise, as the Angels will continue to go with Joe Blanton and Tommy Hanson in their starting rotation.

Jerome Williams held the Astros to two runs and three hits over seven innings on Saturday, but he took a loss anyway. Signs point to this being Williams' last start for a while, even though he seems like a better bet than Tommy Hanson and Joe Blanton at the moment. He's gone 4-2 with a 2.58 ERA in six starts and eight relief appearances for the Angels.
