Weaver evened his record at 11-11 after allowing two runs on four hits -- including two home runs -- and two walks with eight strikeouts over 6.2 innings in Sunday's 3-2 victory over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Weaver turned in one of his best starts of the year, striking out a season-high eight batters and throwing 67 of his 100 offerings for strikes. He was fortunate nobody was on base for either home run, however. His extreme fly ball tendencies have really hurt him this year, as he's allowed a career-high 35 home runs, including 12 over his last seven starts. A career-worst 13.4 HR/FB ratio may be indicative of some bad luck, but diminished velocity has also made his pitches easier to square up. He'll look to keep the ball in the yard Saturday against a power-laden Blue Jays lineup.

Weaver served up five runs on four hits and three walks over four innings in a no-decision Monday against Oakland.
EDGE Analysis
Weaver had been strong over his past two starts, with nine strikeouts and just three runs allowed over 12 innings in outings against the Jays and Reds. Unfortunately, with his 82.8 mph average fastball, such success has been short lived whenever he has managed to find it this season. His career-worst ERA is now up to 5.37.

Weaver (10-11) allowed two runs on eight hits and struck out five over 6.1 innings in a win Tuesday over the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Somehow, Weaver continues to find ways to win despite a fastball that tops out in the mid-80s. His five strikeouts Tuesday is his best mark since he struck out five July 6 against the Rays. Still, Weaver has given up a ridiculous 187 hits and 32 home runs in just 150.1 innings. Cincinnati's lineup is one of baseball's weakest right now, and Weaver shouldn't be expected to repeat this performance against a superior team.

Weaver pitched 5.2 innings, allowing two runs (one earned), five hits and three walks while striking out four Blue Jays in Thursday's win.
EDGE Analysis
Entering the game, Weaver was 0-3 with a 7.29 ERA through four starts this month, but he somehow mustered a strong performance to down the potent Blue Jays lineup. The veteran's five hits allowed were the fewest he's given up since June 19, and the third fewest Weaver's allowed in any of his 25 starts this season. Despite the impressive performance, the 33-year-old continues to be hit-or-miss when it comes to his fantasy production, making him a poor option in most formats.

Weaver (8-10) gave up five runs on 10 hits and two walks over 5,1 innings in Sunday's loss to the Indians. He did not strike out a batter.
EDGE Analysis
It's been almost painful to watch Weaver pitch this season. He's allowed at least four runs in four of his last five starts and his ERA hasn't been below 5.00 since early May, and that despite throwing a shutout against the A's in June. His 4.51 K/9 is a career low, while his 1.75 HR/9 is a career high. If the Angels' rotation were even a little bit healthier it's likely that the 33-year-old would have followed or even preceded Tim Lincecum out the door, but they really don't have any better options right now. Weaver will next trudge doggedly out to the mound at home Friday against the Yankees.

Weaver (8-9) allowed five runs (four earned) on eight hits and two walks over five innings in a loss Tuesday against the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
The Cubs crushed Weaver's mistakes, tagging him for two doubles and two home runs. Weaver has now allowed a ridiculous 25 home runs in just 22 starts this year. Given the resulting 1.8 HR/9 he is currently sporting, Weaver is lucky to have an ERA as low as 5.19.

Weaver (8-8) pitched six innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on nine hits and struck out one in Wednesday's no-decision against Oakland.
EDGE Analysis
After a few good outings last month, Weaver once again appears to be a shell of the pitcher most prefer to remember him as. The veteran has faced 531 hitters in 2016 and 81 percent of them have been able to put the ball in play against Weaver (that's a problem). The right-hander's 4.8 K/9 is massively below his career number of 7.1 strikeouts per nine. Weaver's fastball is clocked slower than some pitcher's changeups, and he simply can't get hitters out on his own anymore. He's admitted to playing through pain this season, too. There are just way too many red flags to count on Weaver under most circumstances.

Weaver allowed a single run on six hits and two walks over 5.2 innings Thursday, striking out two Red Sox in a no-decision.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran actually left in line for a loss, but the Angels' ninth-inning rally bailed him out. Weaver's now allowed just one run in three of his last four starts -- but he's also allowed four or more runs in five of his last nine outings. Whether he's hot or cold kind of depends on where you're coming from, but either way, Weaver's a weak fantasy roll as one of the league's most hittable pitchers.

Weaver (8-8) allowed six runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out one over four innings to take the loss Saturday at the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Weaver allowed a three-run homer in the second inning before allowing three more runs to score between the third and fourth innings, leading to his eighth loss of the season. After starting out July with a pair of excellent outings, he's now allowed 12 runs in his last eight innings over two starts to raise his ERA to 5.32. He'll make his next start Thursday against the Red Sox.

Weaver (8-7) allowed one run on six hits and one walk while striking out one over seven innings to earn the win Sunday against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
The only run Weaver allowed came in the third inning, and the Angels gave him eight runs of support to easily get him his eighth victory of 2016. He's now allowed just one run in each of his two July outings to lower his ERA to 5.02 on the year. He'll make his next start Saturday at the Astros.
