Encarnacion went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's 8-1 loss to Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
He spoiled Atlanta's shutout bid by taking Charlie Morton deep in the third inning, but it was all the offense Miami could muster. Encarnacion is hitting just .225 through his first 41 big-league plate appearances with a 34.1 percent strikeout rate, but he's showing off his power potential with three doubles, two homers and 11 RBI.

Encarnacion is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Encarnacion is back on the bench after going 2-for-11 with a double and two RBI while picking up starts in each of the past three games. The righty-hitting rookie should continue to see steady playing time versus left-handed pitching, and his opportunities to play against righties could start to pick up soon if fellow rookies JJ Bleday (.198 average over 129 plate appearances) and Peyton Burdick (.167 average in 82 plate appearances) continue to languish in their first exposure to the big leagues.

Encarnacion will start in right field and bat sixth in Wednesday's game against the Athletics, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
While bouncing between the corner-outfield spots and designated hitter, Encarnacion has been able to maintain a near-everyday role since he was called up from Triple-A Jacksonville on Friday. He'll draw his fifth start in six games Wednesday after going 4-for-13 with two doubles, a walk, three RBI and a run in his prior four starts.

Encarnacion was recalled from Triple-A Jacksonville and will start in left field and bat ninth Friday against the Dodgers, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Encarnacion was promoted for his MLB debut in June and went 1-for-8 with a grand slam and a stolen base in two games before being sent back to Jacksonville, and he'll now rejoin the Marlins. The 24-year-old could receive regular opportunities in the outfield with Jorge Soler (back), Avisail Garcia (hamstring) and Garrett Cooper (concussion) on the injured list.

Encarnacion was optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The 24-year-old went 1-for-8 with a grand slam, a stolen base and an additional run scored across his first two big-league games, but he'll return to the minors with Jesus Sanchez (illness) activated from the COVID-19 injured list. Encarnacion has a .260/.336/.442 slash line in 26 games since being promoted to Jacksonville in mid-May, and he should remain in the mix for a return to the Marlins whenever outfield depth is needed.

Encarnacion went 1-for-4 with a grand slam and a stolen base in a 6-2 win Sunday over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
After striking out and grounding out in his first two big-league at-bats, Encarnacion took a 3-2 pitch from Seth Lugo deep for a grand slam in the seventh. He later reached on an error and stole a base. The 24-year-old was called up Friday but did not debut until Sunday's start. He hit .313/.385/.518 with 13 homers in 57 minor-league games to start the season, splitting time between Double-A and Triple-A.

Encarnacion was called up by the Marlins on Friday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Encarnacion and Lewin Diaz were recalled to replace Jesus Sanchez and Jesus Aguilar, both of whom landed on the COVID-19 injured list. Encarnacion is at least a moderately interesting prospect, with good raw power driving his profile. He'll have to hit well to stick around, as he's limited to the outfield corners defensively. He may not quite be ready to make a significant splash at the big-league level, as his .260/.336/.442 line in 26 games for Triple-A Jacksonville this season is good for a merely above-average 106 wRC+ and comes with a 30.2 percent strikeout rate.

The Marlins optioned Encarnacion to Triple-A Jacksonville on Thursday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 24-year-old outfielder was one of four players demoted to minor-league camp in the Marlins' latest round of roster cuts. Encarnacion will move up a level to begin the 2022 campaign after he spent the majority of the 2021 season at Double-A Pensacola, where he slashed .222/.308/.400 with nine home runs and five stolen bases over 260 plate appearances.

The Marlins optioned Encarnacion to their minor-league camp Tuesday, Ethan Budowsky of FishStripes.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Look for the 23-year-old outfielder to open the upcoming season at Triple-A Jacksonville or Double-A Pensacola. He previously split the 2019 season between High-A Jupiter and Low-A Clinton, batting .276/.331/.425 with 16 home runs in 508 at-bats between the two stops.
