Antonio Senzatela To DL, Jeff Hoffman Starting Friday rotoballer.com Fri 7/13/18 1:11 PM

Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Antonio Senzatela (finger) was placed on the disabled list on Friday with a right middle finger blister. Starting in his place Friday against the Mariners in Colorado will be pitcher Jeff Hoffman. Hoffman has tossed 5 1/3 innings of relief for Colorado this year and has allowed six earned runs on seven hits for a 10.13 ERA, so he's obviously not on the streaming radar against a good team at hitter-friendly Coors Field.

Jeff Hoffman Sent Down To Albuquerque rotoballer.com Fri 6/29/18 12:19 PM

Colorado Rockies pitcher Jeff Hoffman finally caught a ride back to Triple-A Albuquerque when reliever Mike Dunn was activated from the disabled list. Hoffman performed poorly as a starting pitcher last season for the Rockies, but his stint of five appearances in relief this month has been an absolute nightmare. Hoffman finished up with a 10.13 ERA and truly impressive 2.44 WHIP en route to helping make the Colorado bullpen the worst in the league.

Jeff Hoffman Hammered By Mets rotoballer.com Tue 6/19/18 10:26 AM

Colorado Rockies reliever and former first-round pick Jeff Hoffman ensured Colorado wouldn't be coming back on Monday by surrendering five earned runs in just one-third of an inning. Hoffman was called into the game when it was already a 6-2 deficit, but he quickly put any rally ideas to bed by loading the bases and then walking in a pair. Brooks Pounders took over to ensure Hoffman wouldn't miss out on any of those sweet earned runs and quickly flushed all the inherited runners home by giving u[...]

Jeff Hoffman Recalled From Triple-A rotoballer.com Fri 6/8/18 4:27 PM

Colorado Rockies pitcher Jeff Hoffman has been recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque to replace injured reliever Mike Dunn. Hoffman has been working as a starter in the minors, but he'll likely be used as long relief for the Rockies. The team's bullpen has been one of the worst in baseball, and Dunn was one of the culprits behind an atrocious 2018. Perhaps Hoffman can help provide some semblance of stability there.

Jeff Hoffman Allows No Hits In Triple-A Start rotoballer.com Wed 5/2/18 9:24 AM

Colorado Rockies starting pitcher prospect Jeff Hoffman went 5 2/3 innings pitched, giving up one run, three walks, and no hits while striking out eight in the 3-1 win over the Tacoma Rainiers. Hoffman is a top prospect in the Rockies organization, despite a 1-3 record and a 4.42 ERA to start the year in Triple-A. He is still only 25, so the Rockies have a couple more years to attempt to groom him into a starting pitcher for the organization. Hoffman should become an option for Colorado's rotati[...]

Jeff Hoffman To Begin Rehab rotoballer.com Sun 4/8/18 10:56 PM

Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Jeff Hoffman is set to begin his rehab after taking some time off due to shoulder soreness. The shutdown was concerning because Hoffman reported soreness in his rotator cuff, but he's now telling reporters that he's feeling much stronger and pain-free. Hoffman showed some flashes of brilliance last year, especially with his curve ball, but he fatigued and struggled later in the year. Colorado's rotation looks like one that is in for some turnover, so don't be su[...]

Manager Bud Black confirmed that Hoffman will miss between seven and 10 days, which could be two Spring Training starts.
