Jeff Hoffman Expected To Start Sunday rotoballer.com Fri 8/30/19 1:08 PM
Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Jeff Hoffman is expected to start on Sunday against the Pirates. Hoffman has a scary 7.81 ERA, 1.66 WHIP, 43 strikeouts and 18 walks in 40 1/3 innings in his nine starts in the majors this year. That would make him much too risky as a streamer this weekend while at hitter-friendly Coors Field. Look elsewhere if he indeed starts against Pittsburgh.
Rockies Recall Garrett Hampson, Option Jeff Hoffman rotoballer.com Sun 6/23/19 2:17 PM
The Colorado Rockies recalled infielder Garrett Hampson in Sunday and sent pitcher Jeff Hoffman down to Triple-A in a corresponding move. Hampson has struggled with the big league club batting just .186 with a homer and six RBI in 33 games. He hasn't particularly shined at Triple-A either after receiving plenty of hype during the preseason. Managers in redraft leagues can ignore Hampson as he won't find much playing time, but there's still value in his bat and legs in dynasty formats.
