The Angels re-signed Davis to a minor-league contract Friday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis had elected free agency after being outrighted off the Angels' 40-man roster but is now back on a restructured minor-league pact. The 32-year-old has played five games with the Halos this season, going 1-for-9 at the plate. He'll head to Triple-A Salt Lake.

Davis cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Davis lost his spot on the Angels' 40-man roster Tuesday after only nine plate appearances with the team. He'll have the opportunity to elect free agency, or he can stick within the organization.

The Angels designated Davis for assignment Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Since joining the active roster April 10, Davis has gone just 1-for-9 with three strikeouts while appearing in only five games. His lack of success and playing time has now caused him to lose his spot on the 40-man roster in favor of Gustavo Campero, who was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake in a corresponding move.

The Angels selected Davis' contract from Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Davis was off to a nice start with Salt Lake, slashing .297/.357/.487 with two home runs and 11 RBI in 10 contests. While the 31-year-old could see occasional playing time at third base while Yoan Moncada (thumb) is sidelined, Davis is likely to operate mostly in a reserve role.

Davis went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run Saturday in a Cactus League win over Milwaukee.
EDGE Analysis
Davis plated the final two runs of the game with a blast to center field in the seventh inning. It was the first long ball of the spring for the veteran infielder, who is in camp as a non-roster invitee. Davis has struggled with a .182/.217/.364 slash line so far this spring, though he has a chance of making the Opening Day roster due in part to injuries to Anthony Rendon (hip), Zach Neto (shoulder) and Luis Rengifo (hamstring).

The Angels signed Davis to a minor-league contract Friday that includes an invitation to spring training, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis suffered through a terrible 2024 campaign, slashing only .218/.293/.338 with four home runs across 46 contests between the Athletics and Yankees. The 31-year-old had a career .775 OPS prior to last season, however, so nabbing him on a minor-league pact is a sensible move by the Halos. Davis could provide depth at the corner infield spots and also left field.

Davis agreed to a minor-league contract with the Orioles on Wednesday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis became a free agent last week after being released by the Yankees. He's slashed just .218/.293/.338 through 157 plate appearances at the big-league level this season with the Athletics and Yankees, and it's difficult to envision him earning a role with Baltimore unless the club loses a player or two to injury. Davis is expected to report to Triple-A Norfolk with his new organization.

The Yankees released Davis on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Davis was removed from the Yankees' 40-man roster this past weekend and is now officially a free agent after clearing waivers. The 31-year-old has batted only .218/.293/.338 through 157 plate appearances this season, but with a career .764 OPS he should draw some interest on the open market.

The Yankees placed Davis on outright waivers Wednesday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis passed through waivers unclaimed after being DFA'd by the Yankees on Sunday. Assuming he clears waivers again, he will enter free agency and attempt to latch on with another team. The 31-year-old has slashed .218/.293/.338 through 157 plate appearances this season, but he went just 2-for-19 (.105) with one RBI and nine strikeouts over seven games during his time in New York.

The Yankees designated Davis for assignment Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old will lose his roster spot to create space for trade acquisition Jazz Chisholm. Davis played in just seven games after being acquired by the Yankees in late June and has a .631 OPS this season between his time in New York and Oakland.
