Jackson had his contract selected from Triple-A San Antonio on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Jackson hasn't allowed a run through seven appearances with San Antonio this season, racking up 14 strikeouts and a trio of saves while allowing just four hits and two walks in 8.2 innings of work. The right-hander figures to pitch in lower-leverage situations upon initially joining the big club, though that could change if he impresses.

Jackson will open the season with Triple-A San Antonio, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jackson had been in big-league camp as a non-roster invitee but wasn't expected to break camp with the team. The Brewers' bullpen has been getting banged up recently, but Jackson isn't on the 40-man roster, so he he's unlikely to be one of the first few names called upon.

Jackson was reassigned to minor league camp Sunday, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports. Jackson entered camp with little chance to crack the Opening Day roster. Despite ascending quickly through the minor league ranks, he has spent most of the past five seasons in Triple-A, and appears destined for the minors again in 2015.

Jackson signed a minor league contract with the Padres that includes an invite to spring training. Jackson reached the Triple-A level as a 21-year-old in 2009 but has been unable to break through to the majors in five years since. In 532.2 innings at Triple-A, Jackson has posted a 5.17 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 7.3 K/9. Chances are, he'll merely serve as organizational depth in 2015.
