Jason Bay doubled twice in four at bats and added an RBI in Friday's victory over the Cubs. Bay has been on a mini rampage lately, hitting safely in his last eight games, mashing three home runs and driving in 10. It's been an ugly season for the mega-bust, but at least he's giving fantasy owners some playoff-push value.

Jason Bay hit his fourth career grand slam Thursday off the Braves' Mike Minor. He also singled in the game. Bay has three homers in his last six games, giving him as many homers already in September that he's had in any month this season. It's too late for him to salvage his year, but at least an encouraging finish would give him something to build on.

Jason Bay went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in New York's loss to the Marlins on Monday evening. Bay's second home run in three games came with the Mets trailing 9-1 in the ninth inning. Now the owner of a .233/.315/.351 triple slash on the season, Bay is just 9-for-68 (.132) over his past 18 games.

Jason Bay went 3-for-4 with a double and his 44th RBI in New York's win over the Marlins on Wednesday. The multi-hit effort was Bay's first in 13 games. Now batting .234 on the season, he'll finish August with a .221 mark. It would appear $16 million doesn't go as far as it used to.

Andy Martino of the New York Daily News was told by a "well-place front office source" that Jason Bay could be moved to center field next season. It's one of many ideas being kicked around by the Mets, but we don't expect it to come to fruition. It's bad enough that they would have Bay in center field under this scenario, but with Daniel Murphy in left and Lucas Duda in right, they could have the worst defensive outfield in baseball. Angel Pagan hasn't exactly impressed the new front office, but he remains their best option in center field for 2012. Look for him to stay.

Jason Bay went 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout in his return to the Mets' lineup Monday. Bay was out all weekend with a jammed right shoulder. He underwent an MRI on Friday afternoon that ruled out anything major and should be plenty active going forward.

Jason Bay (shoulder) will sit out until Monday. Bay has been battling a sore right shoulder since Tuesday and underwent an MRI on Friday afternoon. The test showed no significant structural damage, but the 32-year-old outfielder needs a bit more recovery time.

Jason Bay was scratched from Friday's starting lineup due to a jammed right shoulder. It's not considered to be anything more than a minor injury. Bay is batting .233 with an ugly .659 OPS.

Jason Bay is not in the Mets' Friday evening lineup. Mired in a 0-for-20 slump, Bay will be spelled by Jason Pridie. Bay will most likely be back in the lineup on Saturday, but it wouldn't be stunning if manager Terry Collins opted to give him two days of rest.
