Blue Jays signed INF Jarrett Hoffpauir to a minor league contract. Hoffpauir's last look in the majors came with the Jays in 2010, when he received 37 plate appearances. He batted .280/.340/.366 with three homers last year for the Nationals' Triple-A affiliate.

Nationals signed INF Jarrett Hoffpauir to a minor league contract. Hoffpauir, 28, batted .281/.356/.428 with five home runs and 34 RBI in 356 plate appearances this past season at Triple-A Tucson. He'll serve as depth for the Nats.
