Taillon allowed two hits and two walks while striking out four in five scoreless innings in Sunday's win over the White Sox. He didn't factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Taillon had given up at least three runs in each of his last three starts but recorded his first scoreless outing of the season Sunday. However, the right-hander was forced to settle for a no-decision after the White Sox put together a late-game rally. Taillon has now posted a 5.06 ERA and 50:12 K:BB in 42.2 innings to begin the year. He tentatively lines up to make his next start on the road against Detroit on Saturday.

Taillon didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Rangers, giving up four runs on six hits and two walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander once again was unable to give the Yankees much length, and Taillon has now pitched past five innings only once in eight starts. Despite a stellar 46:10 K:BB through 37.2 innings, he'll take a 5.73 ERA fueled by a 2.15 HR/9 into his next outing.

EDGE Analysis
Taillon gave up four runs -- tying his season-worst mark -- but also recorded a season-high mark in strikeouts. Taillon owns an impressive 43:8 K:BB through 33.1 innings, but it's worth noting he has given up three or more runs in three of his last four outings.

Taillon allowed three runs on three hits and a walk while striking out five in 6.1 innings in Friday's loss to the Nationals. He didn't factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Taillon picked up his first win of the season in his last outing, but he allowed three runs on a pair of homers in the top of the second inning Friday. The Yankees tied the game in the bottom of the sixth, and Taillon was forced to settle for a no-decision. The right-hander now has a 5.02 ERA and 34:6 K:BB in 28.2 innings across his first six starts of the season. He tentatively lines up to make his next start on the road against Tampa Bay on Thursday.

Taillon (0-2) allowed four runs on five hits and no walks while striking out six in four innings to take the loss against Cleveland on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Taillon was sharp in his last start and began Sunday's outing by tossing three scoreless frames. However, he allowed three singles with no outs in the bottom of the fourth inning before Franmil Reyes blasted a three-run shot to put Taillon in line for his second loss of 2021. The right-hander has posted a 6.23 ERA with 21 strikeouts in 17.1 innings across his first four starts of the season. Taillon will attempt to bounce back at home against the Tigers on Saturday.

Taillon didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 3-1 win over Atlanta, giving up one run on four hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander threw 55 of 80 pitches before hitting the showers, and his only stumble came in the third inning when he gave up back-to-back doubles to Guillermo Heredia and Ehire Adrianza. Taillon is still looking for his first win, or first quality start, of the season, and he'll take a 5.40 ERA and 15:2 K:BB through 13.1 innings into his next outing Sunday in Cleveland.

Taillon (0-1) was charged with the loss against the Blue Jays on Tuesday, surrendering five runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out three across 3.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Hopes were high for the 29-year-old after turning in a decent start in his season debut, during which he allowed two runs on three hits while striking out seven across 4.2 innings against the Orioles. This time around, Taillon struggled to quiet Toronto's bats and was pulled in the fourth frame after serving up a home run to Marcus Semien and an RBI double to Vladimir Guerrero Jr. In all, Taillon threw 59 of his 84 pitches for strikes, hitting a batter and tossing a wild pitch in the process. The right-hander was making just his second start since 2019 following a recovery period after his second Tommy John surgery. It's worth noting that a former bout with testicular cancer has pumped the brakes along the way as well. Taillon will get another chance at home Sunday versus Tampa Bay.

Taillon allowed two runs on three hits while striking out seven across 4.2 innings in Wednesday's game against the Orioles. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Taillon was once considered the next big pitching prospect for the Pirates before two Tommy John surgeries and a run-in with testicular cancer halted his career progression. Finally healthy once again, everyone was intrigued to see how the 29-year-old would bounce back in his return to the mound, and he did not disappoint. Taillon didn't allow a baserunner through three innings but was punished in the fourth when he allowed two solo home runs in a span of three hitters. He ultimately was pulled after 74 pitches -- no surprise, as manager Aaron Boone said before the season that the team would be cautious with his workload early on. Taillon would've had a phenomenal outing if not for the two home runs allowed; however, he did record his final six outs via strikeout and did not issue any walks. He's expected to make his next appearance Tuesday against the Blue Jays.
