Taillon (9-1) earned the win Wednesday against the A's after giving up three runs on seven hits across five innings. He had six strikeouts and two walks.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran right-hander surrendered three runs on four hits during the opening frame, but he settled down from there and blanked Oakland for the following four innings. Taillon has won his past nine decisions since taking a loss Opening Day, and he lines up for a favorable matchup against his former team in Pittsburgh next week.

Taillon allowed six runs on 10 hits and a hit batter while striking out three in 5.2 innings versus the Astros on Thursday. He did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Taillon gave up three-run home runs to Alex Bregman in the first inning and Yordan Alvarez in the third. It took a Yankees rally in the ninth to get Taillon off the hook after a lackluster start -- the six runs and 10 hits were both season highs. He still hasn't lost since his first game of the season, and he owns a solid 3.19 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 63:9 K:BB in 79 innings overall even after this poor outing. He's projected for a more favorable home start versus the Athletics next week.

Taillon (8-1) gave up four hits, two walks and no runs over 5.2 innings to earn the win in a 4-0 shutout victory over the Blue Jays on Saturday. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
Taillon bounced back from two sub-par starts in a row against the Cubs and the Twins to blank the Blue Jays over 5.2 innings. The eight strikeouts were a season high, and Taillon now holds an impeccable 6.7 K/BB ratio on the year, thanks especially to limiting the base on balls. His win against the Blue Jays marks a continuation of what has been an impressive 2022 campaign thus far. Taillon's eight wins put him in a tie for the most in the majors. With the Yankees averaging a league-best 5.09 runs per game, Taillon should be in line for plenty more wins, especially if he can maintain an ERA under 3.00. Look for Taillon to start next week against the Astros when he will go for win No. 9.

Taillon (7-1) allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out five in five innings to earn the win over the Cubs on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Taillon failed to record a quality start for a second consecutive outing, but he got plenty of run support from the Yankees' offense in the 18-4 victory, and he picked up his third win in his last four starts. The right-hander has posted a 2.53 ERA in 32 innings over his last five outings but has given up seven runs in 12 innings over his last two starts. He projects to make his next start on the road against Toronto on Saturday.

Taillon did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing four runs on nine hits and one walk over four innings against the Twins. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Taillon was not very efficient Tuesday, allowing nine hits in four innings while throwing 63 of 87 pitches for strikes. Although he allowed four earned runs, only one was a home run, which he allowed to Jorge Polanco in the fourth inning before being pulled. Tuesday's outing was the righty's shortest of the season and follows three quality starts in a row. He will carry a 2.73 ERA into his next start.

Taillon (6-1) earned the win Thursday, allowing one run on two hits and zero walks over eight innings against the Angels. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
Taillon was perfect through seven innings, but he allowed a leadoff double to Jared Walsh in the top of the eighth inning and eventually gave up his only run of the night on a Kurt Suzuki single. However, the Yankees were able to respond in the bottom half of the inning and took the lead, setting Taillon up for his sixth win. The right-hander has been stellar this year, posting a 2.30 ERA and a 0.90 WHIP with a 44:5 K:BB across 58.2 innings. His only loss came in his first outing of the season.

Taillon (5-1) picked up the win Friday, scattering two hits over eight scoreless innings in a 2-0 win over the Rays. He struck out five without walking a batter.
EDGE Analysis
He retired the first 12 batters he faced, and a sixth-inning double by Manuel Margot -- who got stranded at second base -- was as close as Tampa Bay got to plating a run. It was the second straight quality start and third of the season for Taillon, who will take a 2.49 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 39:5 K:BB through 50.2 innings into his next outing.

Taillon didn't factor into the decision in a 3-1 loss to the White Sox in Game 1 of a doubleheader Sunday, allowing one run on five hits and one walk with seven strikeouts in seven innings.
EDGE Analysis
Taillon had his best stuff working Sunday, limiting the damage to one run on three hits in the fourth inning, and he responded by retiring the next 10 White Sox. The 94 pitches and seven strikeouts both represent season highs, while more strikeouts should be in store as the 30-year-old is at 7.2 K/9 this season compared to an 8.2 mark in his career. Taillon is scheduled to take the mound again next weekend against the Rays.

Taillon (4-1) grabbed the win Tuesday after he tossed five innings, surrendering three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out two versus the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Taillon was able to snag a win in what was his third shot versus the Orioles this season, failing to reach five innings in his prior two starts against them. He gave up a solo homer to Ramon Urias in the second frame before giving up two more runs in the bottom of the fourth. The 30-year-old has now allowed three or less runs in each of his first seven starts to open the season, though he has only produced one quality start in 2022. Now in his second season with the Yankees, Taillon owns a 3.28 ERA and 1.21 WHIP with 27 strikeouts over 35.2 innings.

Taillon (3-1) earned the win Wednesday against the Blue Jays after allowing two runs on six hits with four strikeouts and one walk across 5.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander allowed a run on a single, a walk and a hit by pitch during the first inning, but he then settled down before Toronto scratched across another run in the fifth. Taillon has won three of his past four starts and has a 2.57 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 17:2 K:BB over 21 frames during that span. He lines up to pitch in Baltimore early next week.
