Taillon (12-4) earned the win over Oakland on Thursday, pitching six innings and allowing one run on six hits and no walks while striking out two batters.
EDGE Analysis
Taillon induced a modest seven swinging strikes, but he didn't need his swing-and-miss stuff to tame the Athletics' offense. The veteran right-hander was staked to a 10-run lead through four frames and cruised to an easy win, allowing his only run on a Shea Langeliers solo homer in the sixth. Taillon is tied for eighth in the majors with 12 victories on the season despite a middle-of-the-road 3.89 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 7.5 K/9.

Taillon (11-4) took the loss Friday as the Yankees were downed 4-0 by the Blue Jays, giving up three runs on six hits over five innings. He struck out five without walking a batter.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander didn't pitch too badly aside from grooving a first-pitch fastball to Teoscar Hernandez in the fourth inning that wound up traveling 421 feet to nearly straightaway center field, but the New York offense managed only four singles all night and never got a runner past second base, so Taillon had no margin for error. In six starts since the All-Star break, he's posted a 4.45 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 31:12 K:BB through 32.1 innings, with the ERA being fueled by a 1.7 HR/9.

Taillon (11-3) took the loss Sunday, allowing three runs on six hits and zero walks over seven innings against the Red Sox. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Taillon got off to a rocky start as Tommy Pham led off the game with a double to deep center and later came around to score. The only other damage came from a two-run home run off the bat of Rafael Devers in the sixth. The Yankees' starter was out-dueled by Michael Wacha on the night, but it was promising that Taillon did not walk a batter for the first time since July 16. He will look to get back in the win column in his next start, which is slated to be against the Blue Jays this week.

Taillon (11-2) allowed three runs on three hits and three walks over seven innings Monday, striking out six and earning a win over the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Taillon served up a pair of solo home runs in Monday's victory, including a first-inning shot by Mitch Haniger. The 30-year-old righty also loaded the bases with two outs in the fourth but wiggled out of the jam after giving up just one run. Taillon earned his first win since July 16 and turned in his longest outing since June 2. He'll carry a 3.95 ERA into his projected start in Boston this weekend.

Taillon did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the Mariners, allowing six runs (five earned) on two hits while striking out six and walking four over 4.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Taillon was not efficient Tuesday, throwing 98 pitches (56 for strikes) across 4.2 innings. Despite allowing just two hits, Taillon was tagged for five earned runs thanks in large part to two early home runs. The righty had not allowed more than three runs in a game until a four-run outing June 7, but he has four such games since then, including two games with six earned runs and two with five earned runs. Taillon also has just four quality starts in his last 12 appearances. He will take a 3.96 ERA into his next outing.

Taillon (10-2) earned the win over Boston on Saturday, allowing one run on two hits and no walks while striking out five over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Taillon came into the contest having allowed 20 runs over his previous 21 frames, and things looked ominous when he served up a solo homer to Rafael Devers in the first inning Saturday. New York responded with four runs in the bottom of the frame, however, and Taillon cruised from there, giving up only one more hit and no runs the rest of the way. The right-hander finished the first half with a team-high 10 victories along with a 3.86 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 82:12 K:BB over 100.1 innings.

EDGE Analysis
Taillon was staked to an early 6-2 lead but couldn't hang on, culminating with three two-out runs scoring in the fifth inning. Taillon is projected for a rematch with Boston next weekend.

Taillon (9-2) gave up five earned runs on six hits and no walks while striking out five over 5.1 innings to take the loss in a 5-2 defeat against the Pirates on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Taillon was done in by a pair of home runs off the bats of Daniel Vogelbach and Jack Suwinski get handed his second loss of the season. Taillon's 9-2 record conceals his struggles as of late. The 30-year-old right-hander has now given up 14 earned runs over his past three starts. His last quality start came over a month ago June 3, yet he has tallied three wins during that time thanks to the Yankees' high-powered offense. Look for Taillon to take the mound Sunday at Boston, when he will go for his 10th win of the season.
