Paxton (11-6) allowed two runs on one hit with five walks and four strikeouts across five innings while recording a victory against the Mariners on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The free passes prevented Paxton from going deeper in the contest than five innings, and it led to one run scoring, but Paxton mostly worked around the walks to win his sixth straight outing. During the winning streak, Paxton owns a 3.57 ERA and 39 strikeouts in 35.1 innings. Overall, he has recorded a 4.39 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 156 strikeouts in 125 innings this season. Paxton will make his next start Tuesday at home against the Rangers.

Paxton (10-6) earned the win Friday, allowing two runs on five hits and striking out 11 in a 10-2 win over the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
The Yankees provided five homers in support of Paxton, who took care of suppressing the Dodgers' dangerous offense. Across 30.1 innings in August, Paxton has a 3.56 ERA and 35 strikeouts, compared to a 5.68 ERA over 25.1 innings in five July starts. For the season, Big Maple owns a 4.43 ERA and 152:44 K:BB in 120 innings. The southpaw is expected to face his former team, the Mariners, in a road start Wednesday.

Paxton (6-6) earned the win after allowing two runs on two hits and three walks while striking out six over six innings Friday against the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Paxton got off to a shaky start, surrendering a two-run homer in the first inning, but he settled down to fire five scoreless frames before being lifted with 100 pitches (60 strikes). The lefty turned in a quality start in the series opener after allowing 14 runs (11 earned) over his last two outings.

Paxton (5-6) allowed seven runs with nine hits, zero walks and nine strikeouts across four innings while taking a loss against the Red Sox on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The nine strikeouts were nice, but the left-hander couldn't keep the ball in the park. Mookie Betts took his deep three times, and J.D. Martinez hit a homer against Paxton as well. Those four long balls accounted for six of the seven runs against Paxton. Home runs have been an issue for the 30-year-old most of this season, as he owns a career-high 1.7 HR/9. He also has a 4.72 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 117 strikeouts in 89.2 innings this season. Paxton will look to keep the ball in the park during his next start at Yankee Stadium against the Red Sox next Friday.

Paxton (5-5) allowed seven runs (four earned) on five hits with three walks and six strikeouts over just 3.1 innings while taking a loss against the Rockies on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old remains winless in July, as he hasn't capture a victory since June 21. Paxton averaged almost two strikeouts per inning Sunday, but that's about the only thing that went his way. He had trouble with control, gave up a homer and struggled to overcome defensive lapses. Even with a few of the runs considered unearned, Paxton saw his ERA rise to 4.20 after this outing. He also has a 1.47 WHIP, .272 batting average against and 108 strikeouts in 85.2 innings this season. Paxton will look to get back on track Friday at the Red Sox.

Paxton didn't factor into the decision in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Rays, giving up two runs on seven hits and two walks over six innings while striking out seven.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw had little trouble with most of the Tampa lineup en route to his third straight quality start and sixth of the year, but Travis d'Arnaud touched him up for two solo shots -- a prelude to the catcher's game-winning blast off Aroldis Chapman in the ninth inning. Paxton will carry a 3.94 ERA and 102:32 K:BB through 82.1 innings into his next outing Saturday, at home against the Rockies.
