Kaprielian allowed two runs on four hits and a walk, striking out six in 5.1 innings of a 5-2 win Tuesday over Minnesota. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Kaprielian retired the side in order in the first two innings and pitched around hits in the third and fourth innings. He gave up solo home runs to Royce Lewis and Gary Sanchez in the next two frames, however, ending Kaprielian's evening. While the 28-year-old has not yet recorded a win, he has pitched well in three straight outings, allowing two runs or fewer and pitching at least five innings each time. With a 16:10 K:BB, the righty has shown less than stellar command on the season, but Tuesday's start was a step in the right direction.

Kaprielian allowed two earned runs on three hits and three walks while striking out one across five innings Thursday against Detroit. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Kaprielian held the Tigers scoreless through four innings but faltered in the fifth frame by allowing a single, walk and double to consecutive batters. He otherwise effectively limited damage by inducing eight groundball outs, though he had only seven swinging strikes on 75 pitches. After being hit hard in his first outing, Kaprielian has allowed only four earned runs across his last 10.2 innings. However, to maintain that success, he'll need to improve upon his current 10:9 K:BB.

Kaprielian fell to 0-2 on the season despite a strong start Saturday against the Twins. He allowed just one run on three hits and two walks across 5.2 innings while striking out seven.
EDGE Analysis
Kaprielian got through five innings without much trouble and nearly got through the sixth as well before Jorge Polanco took him deep to center field with two outs. The Athletics would fail to score, saddling Kaprielian with the loss, but it was nonetheless an encouraging performance after he stumbled in his first start back from a shoulder injury. He'll look to keep the momentum going next week, when he lines up to face the Tigers in Detroit on Thursday.

Kaprielian (0-1) took the loss during Sunday's 7-3 defeat at the hands of the Guardians, allowing four runs on three hits and four walks with two strikeouts in two innings.
EDGE Analysis
Kaprielian started okay by getting through the first inning unscathed but permitted one run on three hits in the second and walked the bases loaded in third before being removed. Reliever Jacob Lemoine let all three inherited runners score, and Oakland was never able to recover from the early 4-0 deficit. Kaprielian was solid with a 4.07 ERA and 1.22 WHIP in 119.1 innings last season and will look to turn things around against Detroit next week.

The Athletics activated Kaprielian (shoulder) from the 10-day injured list ahead of his scheduled start Sunday against the Guardians, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
To make room for Kaprielian on the active roster and in the rotation in advance of his season debut, the Athletics optioned No. 5 starter Adam Oller to Triple-A Las Vegas. Kaprielian topped out at four innings and 84 pitches in his third and final rehab start for Las Vegas on Sunday, so he should be capable of giving the Athletics a decent amount of length in his 2022 debut. The right-hander looked rusty during his rehab assignment, however, as he allowed 11 runs and posted a 13:5 K:BB across 13.2 innings over his three starts. As a result, fantasy managers may want to delay activating him for Sunday's start.

Kaprielian (shoulder) will come off the 10-day injured list to start Sunday against the Guardians, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
He hasn't covered himself in glory through three rehab starts, giving up 11 runs on 15 hits and five walks while striking out 13 in 13.2 innings, but he must be feeling good physically. It's unclear if the A's will move to a six-man rotation or if Adam Oller will get bumped from the rotation.

Kaprielian (shoulder) will make another rehab start before returning from the injured list, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kaprielian has been dealing with a shoulder issue since mid-March. He's made a pair of rehab starts already, but his last one didn't go particularly well, as he allowed four runs on nine hits in 4.2 innings. The A's presumably want to see him have a stronger performance before activating him from the injured list.

Kaprielian (shoulder) allowed four earned runs on nine hits and a walk over 4.2 innings in Triple-A Las Vegas' win over El Paso on Wednesday. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
Kaprielian's final line underscores the fact he pitched to some contact, but considering the move up to Triple-A and the hitter-friendly environment of the Pacific Coast League, the so-so outing for the recovering right-hander wasn't completely surprising. Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports Kaprielian worked up to 78 pitches during the outing and still has a chance to rejoin the Athletics next week, although the next step in his rehab process is still to be determined.

Kaprielian (shoulder) will make a rehab start with Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kaprielian made his first rehab start with Low-A Stockton last week and allowed two runs over five innings, and he'll now move his rehab up to Triple-A. The 28-year-old threw 52 pitches in that outing and should continue ramping up his workload Wednesday, which could end up being his final rehab appearances before returning from the injured list.

Kaprielian (shoulder) allowed two earned runs on three hits over five innings while recording six strikeouts during Low-A Stockton's win over Modest on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Both runs off Kaprielian came on solo home runs, but he otherwise got good work in over his 52 pitches, 41 which he threw for strikes. With one solid rehab start under his belt, it's likely the right-hander next toes the rubber at a higher-level affiliate as he continues to ramp up for a possible late-April season debut with the Athletics.
