Diaz was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
He has electric stuff when he's on, but in five big-league innings this season he has given up five runs on six hits and five walks, so more seasoning is likely needed against Triple-A hitters. Carlos Estevez was promoted as a corresponding move.

Diaz was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Diaz struggled in his first cup of coffee in the big leagues, but he's dominated Triple-A hitters to the tune of a 2.13 ERA and an 11.8 K/9. He'll look to carry that success into the Rockies' bullpen as he replaces Zac Rosscup, who was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Diaz was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Diaz made just one appearance before being sent back to the minors; he allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits in just one inning of work. The 25-year-old will head back to Triple-A until the Rockies find themselves in need of another bullpen arm.

Diaz was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
He'll take the place of Tyler Anderson (knee) on the roster, who was recently placed on the disabled list with left knee inflammation. Diaz, who started the season on the disabled list after undergoing Tommy John surgery in March of 2016, compiled a 3.52 ERA and nine strikeouts in 7.2 innings for Albuquerque before being promoted. He'll likely start out in low-leverage roles, but the 25-year-old could work his way up into higher-leverage innings if he pitches well.

Diaz (elbow) tossed a scoreless inning during a rehab appearance Monday with High-A Lancaster, conceding one hit and striking out one batter.
EDGE Analysis
It was Diaz's first appearance in a game in more than a year following Tommy John surgery in March of 2016. The right-hander will likely require several more rehab outings at multiple minor-league affiliates before the Rockies activate him from the 10-day disabled list, perhaps at some point in May. He'd likely be ticketed for low-leverage work initially upon rejoining the big club, but could move up in the bullpen pecking order if he performs well.

Diaz (elbow) is close to going on a minor-league rehab assignment, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
The fireballer has been easing his way back into action, most recently logging bullpen sessions at extended spring training. He appeared in game action during major-league spring training last month, but the Rockies are continuing to take things slowly after he got shelled in his first outing. If all goes well with his next bullpen session and the impending rehab assignment, Diaz appears to still be on track to return in the beginning of May.

Diaz (elbow) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Diaz is still working his way back from 2016 Tommy John surgery. An exact return date has yet to be established, but the team is hoping that he'll be ready to go by early May.

Diaz (elbow) pitched two-thirds of an inning in his first Cactus League appearance, giving up five runs on five hits and a walk.
EDGE Analysis
The appearance is definitely a step in the right direction for the fireballer, and although the results are somewhat cringe-worthy, some positives can be taken away from the outing. Diaz's fastball touched 98.8 miles per hour, showing the high-octane delivery that has Rockies fans drooling. He also got the first two outs of the inning relatively quickly, one of them even being a strikeout. His rust became apparent afterward, however, as his inability to command his changeup and slider led to a home run and a premature exit from the contest. Diaz appears to be pretty healthy as of now, although he'll likely need some more work in game situations prior to being fully cleared for major league innings. His return to full-time work appears to still lie in early May.

Diaz (elbow) pitched an inning in a simulated game versus minor leaguers, Nick Groke of the Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-handed flamethrower continues to progress through his Tommy John rehab program at a good pace. Diaz will need to throw in regular game situations before he even sniffs the major leagues, but this development keeps him on pace for a potential return to the Rockies bullpen sometime around early May.

Diaz (elbow) threw a bullpen session Friday, his first since undergoing Tommy John surgery this offseason, Nick Groke of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Diaz progressed steadily through rehab this winter, and bullpen coach Darren Holmes noted the young reliever "looks healthy." The 25-year-old started strong in the Rockies' bullpen last year, posting a 2.37 ERA over 21 games before being sidelined with an elbow injury. Diaz is on pace for a return closer to May, but this is a positive step on the road back.
