Lopez (3-5) picked up the win in Saturday's 4-3 victory over the Blue Jays, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
The left-hander continues to give up some hard contact -- all four hits off Lopez went for extra bases, including a solo shot by Leo Jimenez in the second inning -- but he was able to minimize the damage. Lopez has been on a roll over the last month-plus, posting a 2.52 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 43:11 K:BB in his last seven outings and 35.2 innings, and his spot in the rotation should be secure coming out of the All-Star break.

Lopez (2-5) allowed four runs on five hits and a walk while striking out eight over 4.1 innings to take the loss Sunday versus the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Lopez had a shaky first inning and gave up a run when Willy Adames drew a bases-loaded walk. Adames added a solo home run in the fourth inning, and Lopez found more trouble in the fifth before his exit. The southpaw has allowed eight runs (seven earned) over his last two starts, covering 7.2 innings with a 9:2 K:BB in that span. He's walked precisely one batter in seven of his last nine outings, but the overall results have been fairly mixed. For the season, he has a 4.26 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 64:19 K:BB through 50.2 innings over 13 appearances (nine starts). Lopez is lined up to make his next start at home versus the Blue Jays.

Lopez was forced to settle for a no-decision after throwing 3.1 innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits and one walk while striking out one, during Monday's 6-4 win over the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Flying high entering play on a three-game streak of quality starts, Lopez came back down to Earth a bit. The left-hander didn't have his best stuff, striking out only one batter, and the four runs he allowed Monday doubled the amount of runs he'd allowed in his last four starts combined, a stretch of time spanning 23 innings. Despite his tough outing, the 27-year-old still carries an ERA of 3.88 through 46.1 innings on the season. The Giants await Lopez in his next start, scheduled for Sunday.

Lopez (2-4) earned the win Wednesday over the Tigers, allowing three hits and a walk across seven scoreless innings. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Lopez was excellent Wednesday, blanking a Detroit team that had scored 20 runs over their previous two games. Lopez has turned in three straight quality starts, allowing just one run while striking out 24 over 19 innings in that span. The left-hander's lowered his ERA to 3.56 with a 1.30 WHIP and 55:17 K:BB through 43 innings this season. Lopez will look to keep rolling in his next outing, currently scheduled for next week in Tampa Bay.

Lopez allowed one run on four hits and three walks while striking out nine over six innings in a no-decision versus the Astros on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Lopez earned his third quality start of the year, and he's allowed just two runs (one earned) over 16 innings across his last three appearances. He's struck out nine batters in three of his last four starts. Lopez is now at a 4.25 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 49:16 K:BB through 36 innings over 10 appearances (six starts) this season. The southpaw has pitched well enough to maintain a spot in the Athletics' rotation, but he's projected for a tough road matchup versus the Tigers next week.

Lopez (1-4) earned the win Saturday, allowing three hits and one walk over six scoreless innings against the Royals. He struck out nine.
EDGE Analysis
Lopez was spectacular as he set a new career high in strikeouts. The 27-year-old has bounced between the majors and minors, as well as between the bullpen and rotation, but he's been excellent in his past two appearances, allowing no earned runs over 10 innings while posting a 14:3 K:BB.

Lopez didn't factor into the decision Sunday against Baltimore, allowing one unearned run on four hits and two walks with five strikeouts over four innings.
EDGE Analysis
Lopez allowed 12 runs and five homers across six innings over his last two appearances, but he fared much better Sunday. Lopez has flashed some elite strikeout stuff, fanning eight or more batters in two of his last four outings, though he's stumbled to a 7.20 ERA in 24 innings this season. He's tentatively scheduled to make another start next weekend at Kansas City.

Lopez (0-4) took the loss Tuesday versus the Twins, allowing five runs on five hits and a walk while striking out nine over 4.1 innings of relief.
EDGE Analysis
The Athletics haven't announced their pitching plans for this series, aside from having Grant Holman serve as an opener Tuesday. That made this a somewhat unexpected outing for Lopez, who was pitching on regular rest after his short 1.2-inning start last Thursday against the Blue Jays. Lopez was tagged for three home runs Tuesday, all of which were solo shots. His workload was normal at 96 pitches (56 strikes), but the results continue to be troublesome for the southpaw, who is now at a 7.20 ERA, 1.75 WHIP and 26:10 K:BB across 20 innings through seven appearances (four starts). Lopez may still have a leg up on Osvaldo Bido for a spot in the rotation in the short term, as Bido worked as more of a traditional reliever following Lopez's bulk-relief outing.

Lopez (0-3) took the loss Thursday against the Blue Jays, allowing seven runs on six hits and a walk across 1.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Lopez set the Jays down in order in the first inning, but it was a different story in the second when the left-hander allowed six runs, with five coming on a pair of homers. Lopez's ERA is now up to 6.32 after Thursday's outing. He's posted a 1.85 WHIP and 17:11 K:BB across 15.2 innings. Lopez currently lines up for a home matchup with the Twins next week, should the A's choose to give him another shot in the rotation.

Lopez is slated to start Thursday's game against the Blue Jays in Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
Summoned from Triple-A Las Vegas last weekend to fill the opening in the rotation created by J.T. Ginn's (quadriceps) move to the injured list, Lopez stepped in and delivered a gem in his second start of the season for the Athletics. Though he ended up taking a loss, he limited the Phillies to one earned run on three hits and one walk while striking out eight over seven innings. The stellar performance will earn him at least one more start, and if Lopez can deliver another positive outing Thursday, he'll likely have a strong case for sticking around in the rotation over the struggling Gunnar Hoglund (5.13 ERA, 1.41 WHIP through five starts) once Ginn is back from the IL.
