Wainwright (Achilles) was placed on the disabled list Sunday morning, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports. Wainwright's season may be in jeopardy after the right-hander suffered an Achilles injury during Saturday night's start against the Brewers, so the move to the disabled list comes as no surprise. He'll undergo an MRI on Monday, at which point a clearer picture should be painted of the veteran's expected absence.
