Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Mat Latos will work out of the bullpen for the next 10-11 days due to the team's pending off days over the next two weeks, according to the Los Angeles Times. With three days off over the next two weeks, the Dodgers will use a four-man rotation, and Latos is the odd man out after allowing 11 runs in 14.2 innings since joining the team via trade from the Miami Marlins.

I never understood this. Why not give each pitcher an extra day off and save their arms? Haven't they had enough injuries already? Ryu, McCarthy, etc.
