Giolito will be called up to start Tuesday's game against the Mets, Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Giolito, who has a 3.17 ERA and 1.42 WHIP through 14 starts at the Double-A level this season, will finally get the opportunity to make his MLB debut in a matchup with Matt Harvey and the Mets on Tuesday. The Nationals made Giolito the 16th overall pick in the 2012 draft when he was just 17 years old, and since then he has continuously climbed the prospect ranks and currently sits as the third-best prospect in all of baseball. Manager Dusty Baker has stated that he is unsure how long Giolito will stay with the team, and that they will take it start-by-start, but the 21-year-old certainly has the talent to be a quality arm for the Nationals this season.
