Lewis (knee) could be ready to to make his 2021 debut as early as Monday against the Dodgers, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports. "He feels good. There's no issues there," manager Scott Servais said. "I think, timetable, is it going to be Monday? Tuesday? I'm not quite sure, but I know the goal is to get him in at some point here at home before we head out on the next road trip."
EDGE Analysis
Servais delivered the encouraging prognosis on Lewis prior to Friday's series opener against the Astros, following multiple reports in recent days of the slugging outfielder ramping up his activity level without setbacks. Lewis has been able to keep a semblance of timing at the plate despite not having seen game action since March 22 by taking as many as four at-bats in simulated game scenarios at the alternate training site. Whenever he is activated, Servais estimates Lewis will slot into the designated hitter role on certain days in order to keep him fresh.

these comments are just shocking, this injury is only a bone bruise but it seems this is a MAJOR injury and concern. An explanation about the injury and the play it happened on would be helpful to know for us that are left out in the cold about oh, everything!!!It is very discouraging to see out franchise player sitting out, not a very tough guy for sure it seems. If this is the norm, we are in big trouble in the future. Given the way all major league teams seem to be reacting to losses, which it seems they all think a loss is just the end of the world, I guess the team is just biding their time with Lewis since it is a MARATHON and not a sprint. Listening to team announcers and color people, it is the end of the world if their team is struggling through 2 weeks, they are just thinking it is a 60 game season and not 162!!Laughable stuff to listen to as they complain about their players and why they aren't doing their jobs.
