Kennedy walked one and did not allow a hit through a scoreless inning to record his 11th save in a 7-6 win over the Blue Jays on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
After walking the first batter he faced, Kennedy cruised through the ninth inning to nail down the save. Kennedy has become a solid closer over the last month, posting eight saves in his last nine appearances. The 34-year-old has a 3.27 ERA and a 10.9 K/9 through 32 games this season.

Kennedy allowed one hit and struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday to record his 10th save of the season in an 8-6 win over Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
After Brad Hand shockingly blew the save in the top of the ninth inning, Kennedy came on and showed him how it was done. The right-hander has now converted eight straight save chances for the Royals since May 30, posting an impressive 0.96 ERA, 0.64 WHIP and 14:1 K:BB through 9.1 innings over that stretch.

Kennedy picked up the save against the Mariners on Monday, working around one hit to toss a scoreless ninth inning and close out a 6-4 victory for the Royals. He struck out two and walked none.
EDGE Analysis
Kennedy narrowly avoided a blown save in a shaky effort during his last appearance, but he was able to post a relatively drama-free performance in this contest to record his eighth save in 10 chances. For the season, the veteran has a 3.72 ERA, a 1.31 WHIP and a 38:5 K:BB through 29 innings.

Kennedy notched a save in Sunday's win over the Twins despite allowing a run on one walk and two hits. He struck out a pair of batters as well.
EDGE Analysis
Max Kepler knocked an RBI double with two outs before Kennedy walked Jonathan Schoop. He ended the threat by striking out hot-hitting slugger Nelson Cruz. The 34-year-old has now converted his last five save chances, making him 7-for-9 this season. Sunday's rough outing was the first run he's allowed since May 29.

Kennedy picked up a one-out save in Thursday's 7-3 win over the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Kennedy was called upon in the ninth with two on and two out after Wily Peralta worked his way into a jam. The 34-year-old easily forced Brandon Dixon to fly out to earn his sixth save of the season. Kennedy has clearly secured his role as the closer in Kansas City. He now owns a 3.67 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 34:4 K:BB.

Kennedy struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Tuesday to record his fifth save of the season in a 3-2 win over the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
The 34-year-old has finally seen a string of save chances and gotten a chance to establish himself as the clear top option in the Kansas City bullpen -- three of his five saves have come since May 30. Kennedy's 3.71 ERA on the year is still less than elite, but his 34:4 K:BB through 26.2 innings is a strong sign that better days are ahead for his ratios as he continues to adjust to life in the bullpen.

Kennedy held the White Sox scoreless to earn the save Friday, allowing one hit while striking out two through one inning of work.
EDGE Analysis
Aside from a double to Charlie Tilson, Kennedy kept Chicago's bats quiet to pick up his fourth save of the season. It's hard to tell for sure who the true closer is in Kansas City with so few opportunities to base it on, but Kennedy does seem to be the favorite. He now owns a 3.86 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 32:4 K:BB through 24 appearances.

Kennedy fired a scoreless ninth inning with a pair of strikeouts to earn the save Thursday against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Although Kennedy has been the frontrunner for saves, it's been hard to tell lately as the right-hander picked up Kansas City's first save in four weeks. Overall, Kennedy's blown 2-of-5 chances this season but leads the team with three. With the perfect inning, he holds a 4.18 ERA and 1.39 WHIP through 22 appearances.

Kennedy allowed two hits with no walks and struck out two across two innings to earn the save in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
This was Kennedy's first save opportunity since blowing a save against the Twins on April 2. Kennedy has pitched well since then, yielding only one run in 10.2 innings, which has helped him post a 1.15 ERA with 21 strikeouts in 15.2 frames this season. Those are closer-worthy numbers, and he now leads the team in saves with two, but this is a bad team and the opportunities may be few and far between.

Kennedy gave up a run on three hits while striking out one in an inning of work to blow his first save of the season in Tuesday's 5-4 extra-inning loss to the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Entering the game in the ninth inning to nurse a 4-3 lead, Kennedy instead gave up a leadoff double to Jorge Polanco, who came around to score two batters later. The right-hander nearly lost the game entirely, but he left runners on first and third after getting Jonathan Schoop to ground out to end the threat. While it's encouraging that Kennedy was the choice for Ned Yost in the ninth over Brad Boxberger, he'll need to produce more consistent results if he wants to remain in the closer picture.
