Dozier went 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBI in Friday's 7-2 win over the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
His two-run shot in the seventh inning only padded the Royals' big lead, but it was Dozier's third homer in the last five games. The 29-year-old is still only hitting .219 since joining the lineup Aug. 9, but his .359 on-base percentage and .500 slugging percentage better reflect how dialed in he is at the plate right now.

Dozier went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, walk and stolen base Monday against the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Dozier led off the second inning with a walk and immediately stole second base. He followed that up with a solo home run in the final frame, his second home run of the season and in as many contests. He's been fairly productive since being activated from the COVID-19 injured list August 9, racking up four RBI and two runs scored as well as a .379 on-base percentage in 29 plate appearances.

Dozier went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Dozier got the Royals out to a 1-0 lead with his solo homer in the first inning off Randy Dobnak. The 28-year-old has struggled since coming off the COVID-19 injured list on Aug. 9, tallying just four hits in 20 at-bats.

Dozier, who was activated from the COVID-19 injured list earlier Sunday, will start at first base and bat cleanup in the Royals' series finale versus the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Unsurprisingly, the Royals will waste no time returning Dozier to a prominent spot in the lineup as he steps in for his 2020 debut. While he'll be filling in for Ryan O'Hearn (shin) at first base Sunday, Dozier is expected to see the bulk of his action in right field, which will free up slugger Jorge Soler to serve as the Royals' everyday designated hitter.

The Royals reinstated Dozier from the COVID-19 injured list Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Dozier looks like he'll be ready to make his season debut in Sunday's series finale with the Twins after he was shut down shortly before Opening Day following a positive COVID-19 test. He's since cleared all coronavirus-related protocols and has been working out with the Royals for nearly a week, so Dozier should be ready to reclaim an everyday role right off the bat. Dozier enjoyed a breakout in his age-27 campaign in 2019, batting .279 with 26 home runs, 84 RBI and 75 runs in 139 games.

Royals general manager Dayton Moore said that he expects Dozier (illness) to arrive at the team's alternate training site Monday to resume workouts, Josh Vernier of 610 Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moore's comments suggest that Dozier is no longer experiencing COVID-19 symptoms and is on track to turn in the second consecutive negative test result he needs in order to gain clearance for team activities. Because Dozier has been shut down since July 20, however, he'll likely need around a week and a half to two weeks to regain conditioning and get prepared for a return to game action. Dozier is expected to slot in as the Royals' primary right fielder once he's formally activated from the COVID-19 injured list.

The Royals placed Dozier on the COVID-19 injured list Wednesday after he tested positive for the coronavirus, Lynn Worthy of The Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Dozier played six innings in Monday's exhibition game against the Astros, so his positive test result was likely detected Tuesday. Per Joel Goldberg of Fox Sports Kansas City, Dozier said in a statement that he's been "hit with a couple of symptoms that go with the virus," so he'll head into quarantine and remain out indefinitely until he clears all COVID-19-related protocols. The uncertain timeline for Dozier's return in a shortened 60-game season could make it difficult to justify rostering the 28-year-old in shallower mixed leagues, especially those with limited bench or IL spots. Dozier's absence could clear the way for the newly acquired Franchy Cordero or holdovers Brett Phillips and Bubba Starling to see more regular work in the outfield.

Dozier (hand) returned to the Royals' summer-camp workout Thursday, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Just one day after suffering a right hand contusion when he was hit by a pitch during Wednesday's intrasquad matchup, Dozier was back on the field to take live at-bats. Barring any setbacks, the issue shouldn't impact the 29-year-old's availability as he prepares for the start of the regular season.

Dozier was diagnosed with a right hand contusion after being hit by a pitch during Wednesday's intrasquad game, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old's removal appears to have been precautionary as manager Mike Matheny didn't appear concerned by the injury. Dozier could lay low for a couple days but figures to make a relatively quick return to the action.

Dozier was removed from Wednesday's intrasquad game after being hit by a pitch in the area of his right hand/wrist, Josh Vernier of 610 Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
The team may simply be expressing caution early in summer camp, though for now the severity of the injury remains unclear. Dozier had an .870 OPS with 26 homers and 84 RBI last season, and he is transitioning from third base to right field following the offseason addition of Maikel Franco.
