Hiroki Kuroda was dominant Friday night against the Blue Jays, giving up two hits over eight shutout innings as part of a 5-0 victory. Continued excellent from Kuroda, who issued one walk while striking out five. The veteran right-hander has delivered quality starts in each of his last seven outings and now has a 1.99 ERA for the year. He's quietly one of the best pitchers in the American League.

Hiroki Kuroda has not allowed more than three earned runs in a start this season. Since surrendering five earned runs over 6 2/3 innings in his first two starts, Kuroda is 4-1 with a 1.64 ERA, a .541 OPS against and a 27/8 K/BB rate over six starts and 44 innings. Kuroda is earning every penny of his $15 million salary and remains a must-start pitcher in all fantasy formats.

Hiroki Kuroda tossed seven scoreless innings as the Yankees beat the Astros 7-4 on Tuesday. Kuroda was shaky early but settled down nicely to get through seven frames. The Astros aren't the toughest lineup he'll have to face this year, but it's still a good showing for the right-hander. Kuroda now owns a 2.25 ERA and 1.06 WHIP to go with his four wins. He's on schedule to start again Tuesday in Colorado and is a must-start right now in all standard formats.

Hiroki Kuroda allowed just one run in seven-plus innings Saturday against the Blue Jays, but was handed a no-decision. Kuroda gave up just three hits and one walk while striking out a season-high seven. The veteran right-hander had his scoreless streak end at 20 2/3 innings after David Robertson allowed an inherited runner to score in bottom of the eighth. Robertson then gave up two more runs to cost him a chance at the victory. Kuroda owns a 2.35 ERA and 19/6 K/BB ratio in 23 innings through four starts and has been rock-solid since joining the Yankees last season. He'll face the Blue Jays back in New York next Thursday.

Hiroki Kuroda threw a complete game shutout in Sunday night's win over the Orioles. Kuroda held the Orioles to just five hits and didn't allow any walks. He pounded the strike zone all night and managed to shut down one of the league's better hitting lineups. The Yankees had no problems letting Kuroda throw 113 pitches, so he's clearly over his injury concerns. He punched out Chris Davis to end the game and finished with five strikeouts.

Hiroki Kuroda gave up three runs in 5 1/3 innings Monday in a win over the Indians. Kuroda allowed all three runs in a 34-pitch first inning, but he managed to hold the Indians off the board the rest of the way. All told, he gave up five hits and four walks while notching six strikeouts. We think he'll be more effective as his bruised finger continues to heal. He'll make his next start against the Orioles on Saturday.

Hiroki Kuroda (finger) won't be cleared to make his next start until he tries to throw a bullpen session Friday. An earlier report said that he had already been cleared, but evidently that's not the case, as he said he doesn't feel "normal" and there's a "little discomfort" in his bruised right middle finger. Ultimately, he'll probably be OK to take the ball on April 8, but if it turns out that he isn't, the Yankees could give Adam Warren a spot start or possibly call up Chien-Ming Wang or Vidal Nuno from the minors.

X-rays on Hiroki Kuroda's right middle finger have come back clean and he is listed as day-to-day. Kuroda had to leave Wednesday's start after a line drive deflected off his pitching hand and into center field. His exit was precautionary, though, and he should be fine for his next outing.
