Bader has received a spring training invite, Jenifer Langosch of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The emerging outfielder slashed .267/.335/.452 with 19 homers and 58 RBI in 2016 over stints at Double-A Springfield and Triple-A Memphis, and then topped off his successful year with a .304/.349/.430 line over 21 games in the Arizona Fall League. The strong season boosted the 2015 third-round pick's already impressive profile, earning him the spring training invite and making him a potential mid-season call-up should he keep up his level of play to start the 2017 campaign. The Cardinals' starting outfield of Randal Grichuk, Dexter Fowler and Stephen Piscotty appears set for the time being, but Bader has adopted the mindset that he can thrive at the big league level should he eventually get the opportunity this season. "I'm certainly confident in my talent to play anywhere," Bader said. "At the same time, with regards to [where I start the season], it's out of my control. I'm just focused on what I can control, and that's preparing myself for Spring Training. I'm looking forward to everything involved with that."

Bader, 22, is batting .258/.340/.371 with one home run and nine RBI through 27 games since being promoted to Triple-A Springfield.
EDGE Analysis
Bader is still settling into his new digs at this level, though he has been far from overmatched thus far. The toolsy outfielder hit 13 home runs and swiped nine bags in 73 games at Double-A prior to the promotion. He remains on track for a 2017 MLB debut.

Bader was promoted to Triple-A Memphis on Wednesday, MLB.com's Jenifer Langosch reports.
EDGE Analysis
A third-round selection in last year's draft, Bader has rocketed through the Cardinals' system, skipping High-A altogether and needing just 73 games at Double-A before heading to Memphis. During that time at Double-A, he hit .286/.350/.491 with 13 homers and nine steals, showcasing a well-rounded skill set. The Cardinals have a lot of outfield options at the big league level, but Bader is now squarely in the mix to contribute in 2017.

Bader went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs, an RBI and a steal Wednesday for Double-A Springfield.
EDGE Analysis
While Bader has cooled off somewhat since his incredibly hot start in Double-A, he has still been having a very solid season. He's now hitting .308/.370/.534 in his second professional season. Looking for negatives, Bader has gone just 8-for-18 on stolen base attempts this season, though that seems easily correctable by simply being more selective in picking his spots to try and steal.

Bader, 21, is hitting .361/.411/.529 with five home runs, 17 RBI and four steals through 29 games for Double-A Springfield.
EDGE Analysis
A third round pick in last year's draft, Bader skipped High-A outright yet has not shown any signs of being overmatched. His plate discipline has not been ideal, but that's nitpicking when hitting .361 on the year.
