Smith signed a minor league contract with the Braves on Tuesday, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
With Ian Thomas called up to the big club, the Braves had a hole on their Triple-A roster, so they went out and signed Smith for depth. The 31-year-old lefty has posted a 4.43 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 378:188 K:BB in parts of eight seasons at the Triple-A level.

Smith signed a minor league deal with the Braves, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports.
Smith spent the entire 2014 season with Triple-A Lehigh Valley for the Phillies, going 9-11 with a 4.40 ERA. He's had one big league stint in his career, but he'll likely just provide organizational depth in the rotation for the Braves.

Smith hasn't made an appearance in the major leagues since the 2010 season, when he posted a rough 6.23 ERA, 1.87 WHIP and 31/24 K/BB ratio in 39 innings with the Rockies. He is doubtful to climb his way to Philadelphia this year.

Angels signed LHP Greg Smith to a minor league contract.
It's not clear whether he's been given a spring training invite. Smith spent all of 2011 at Triple-A in the Yankees and Red Sox organizations, posting a 4.52 ERA over 17 games -- 14 starts. The 28-year-old was once a decent prospect but is organizational filler at this point.

Red Sox signed LHP Greg Smith to a minor league contract.
Smith was evidently released by the Yankees earlier this week and signed on quickly with Boston, tossing seven innings of one-run ball for Triple-A Pawtucket Friday. He'll provide left-handed organizational depth but is unlikely to make it up to the big club. It's been a precipitous fall for the 27-year-old lefty, as just three years ago Smith was one of the key pieces dealt from Oakland to Colorado in the Matt Holliday deal.
