Gonzalez scattered two hits and a walk over three scoreless innings in relief and struck out four Tuesday in the Brewers' 3-1 win over the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Brandon Woodruff's return from the injured list resulted in Gonzalez losing his starting role, but the lefty ended up handling the larger workload of the two while manager Craig Counsell deployed the duo as a piggyback tandem. The piggyback arrangement won't necessarily be in place when Woodruff's next turn comes up, but Gonzalez should have ample opportunity to eat innings behind any of the team's rotation members. No Brewers pitcher has covered more than 6.1 innings in any game since Jordan Lyles tossed seven frames Aug. 11.

Gonzalez will follow Brandon Woodruff (oblique) on Tuesday against the Padres, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Woodruff is ready to return from an oblique injury, though he hasn't yet built up to a full starter's workload. He'll bump Gonzalez from the rotation, but the veteran should still be expecting to throw multiple innings Tuesday. It's unclear if he'll be shifted to a typical bullpen role following Tuesday's contest.

Gonzalez allowed two runs on seven hits with zero walks and three strikeouts across four innings during a no-decision against the Marlins on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran southpaw has allowed three runs in his last 12 innings, but that covers a span of three outings, as Gonzalez hasn't pitched very deep into games recently. That limits his value because Gonzalez isn't pitching deep enough to even qualify for wins. He is 2-2 with a 4.01 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 66 strikeouts in 76.1 innings this season. Gonzalez will pitch next against the Padres at home Tuesday.

Gonzalez gave up one run on two hits and two walks across five innings during Saturday's 3-2 win over the Cubs. He struck out three and did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Gonzalez issued four walks in each of his past four starts, but he illustrated better command Saturday while giving up only one hard-hit ball, which was a solo homer to Addison Russell. The veteran left-hander has a 3.98 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 63:34 K:BB over 72.1 innings and lines up to pitch at Miami on Thursday.

Gonzalez allowed no hits and four walks while striking out two through three scoreless innings in a no-decision against the Cubs on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Gonzalez didn't allow a run, but he wasn't efficient, throwing only 22 of his 56 pitches for strikes. Gonzalez only threw one first pitch strike to the 13 batters he faced. The left-hander has a 4.14 ERA with 60 strikeouts and a 4.41 FIP through 14 starts this season. Gonzalez is scheduled to make his next start Saturday against the Cubs at Miller Park.

Gonzalez (2-2) allowed nine runs (seven earned) on nine hits and four walks over five innings Monday, striking out five batters and taking the loss against St. Louis.
EDGE Analysis
After giving up just one run in five innings against the Cardinals in his last outing, Gonzalez got absolutely shelled in this one. He coughed up two runs in the first inning before giving up a massive six-run second. For good measure, Yadier Molina took him deep in the fourth. Gonzalez will put his 4.34 ERA on the line against the Cubs in Chicago on Sunday.

Gonzalez didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 9-4 loss to the Cardinals, giving up one run on three hits and four walks over five innings while striking out six.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran southpaw wasn't exactly sharp, tossing only 47 of 92 pitches for strikes, but aside from a Harrison Bader triple he didn't allow any loud contact and kept the Brewers in the game. Gonzalez will take a 3.64 ERA and 53:24 K:BB through 59.1 innings into his next start Monday -- a rematch with the Cards back in Miller Park.

Gonzalez allowed five earned runs on five hits and four walks while striking out five across 3.2 innings Wednesday against the Twins. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
There was little positive to take away from Gonzalez's stat-line, as he allowed three solo home runs and also struggled mightily with his control. While this was his shortest outing of the season, Gonzalez has struggled to pitch deep into games since returning from the injured list on July 20, completing more 4.1 or fewer innings in three of his five starts. However, his 3.81 ERA and 1.25 WHIP across 54.1 innings this season remain respectable, and he'll look to bounce back in his next outing Monday at St. Louis.

Gonzalez didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 6-5 win over the Rangers, allowing one run on two hits and three walks over five innings while striking out two.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran southpaw wasn't dominant, but aside from a solo shot by Hunter Pence, Gonzalez didn't give up any hard contact and exited the game in line for his third win of the year. He'll carry a 3.20 ERA and 42:16 K:BB through 50.2 innings into his next start Wednesday, at home against the Twins.

Gonzalez didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Cubs, allowing one run on five hits and one walk over 4.1 innings while striking out four.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran lefty returned from the IL and only permitted a second-inning run on a Javier Baez triple and a wild pitch. He was removed after 71 pitches (43 strikes). He'll take a 3.35 ERA and 40:13 K:BB through 45.2 innings into his next start Friday at home against the Rangers.
