Cole is set to start Game 7 against the Yankees on Sunday if the series extends, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cole was lights-out in Game 3, firing seven scoreless frames while fanning seven, and should the Yankees push the series to Game 7, he'll have a chance to lead his squad to the World Series on Sunday. Through three October appearances, he owns a stunning 0.40 ERA and 0.79 WHIP with 32 punchouts across 22.2 innings.

Cole (1-0) picked up the win with seven scoreless innings against the Yankees on Tuesday in Game 3 of the ALCS, giving up four hits and five walks with seven strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
The five walks were uncharacteristic for Cole, who did not walk more than three batters in any regular-season start in 2019. But he overcame spotty command, not to mention a lengthy delay after an injury to home plate umpire Jeff Nelson, to log his second scoreless outing in his three postseason starts. Cole is now 3-0 with a 0.40 ERA with a 32:8 K:BB ratio in 22.2 innings during the 2019 playoffs and last took a loss on -- wait for it -- May 22. He is very good.

Cole will start Game 3 of the ALCS against the Yankees on Tuesday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cole was the Astros' best pitcher in the ALDS against the Rays, winning both of his starts while striking out 25 batters and allowing just one run on six hits in 15.2 innings of work. He'll be pitching on normal rest for Game 3 and could return on short rest for Game 6 or full rest for Game 7 if either game is necessary.

Cole will start Game 5 of the ALDS against the Rays on Thursday, Brian T. Smith of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Astros were unable to secure a win in Tampa Bay after winning the first two games of the series, leaving Cole to be called upon for the winner-take-all game. The 29-year-old delivered a dominant performance in Game 2, giving up only four hits and one walk over 7.2 shutout innings while racking up 15 strikeouts. Tyler Glasnow will take the mound for the Rays.

Cole will start Game 2 of the ALDS on Saturday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cole would be the Game 1 starter for nearly every other time after finishing the year with a 2.50 ERA, a 0.89 WHIP and a record-high (among qualified starters) 39.9 percent strikeout rate. On the Astros, however, he'll follow fellow Cy Young contender Justin Verlander, who gets the nod for Game 1.

Cole (20-5) gave up one run on four hits and two walks while striking out 10 through five innings to earn the win over the Angels on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Cole registered 20 swinging strikes and 14 called strikes on only 92 pitches in the win. It has been an amazing run for Cole, as he became the first pitcher in MLB history to record nine straight double-digit strikeout games after this performance. The 29-year-old finishes the regular season with a 2.50 ERA and 326 strikeouts in 212.1 innings.

Cole (19-5) picked up the win against the Mariners on Tuesday, giving up just two hits over seven scoreless innings, striking out 14 and walking none in the Astros' 3-0 victory.
EDGE Analysis
Making his first start since reaching the 300-strikeout plateau, Cole racked up 14 more punchouts against an overmatched Mariners lineup to set the Astros single-season franchise record for strikeouts in a season. Not much needs to be said about Cole's otherwordly dominance at this point, but the 29-year-old has been nothing short of phenomenal for Houston this season, posting a 2.52 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and a ridiculous 316:46 K:BB across 207.1 innings.

Cole (18-5) gave up two runs on six hits and one walk while striking out 10 through eight innings to earn the win over the Rangers on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Cole had 18 swinging strikes and 19 called strikes in the dominant outing. The 29-year-old recorded his 300th strikeout of the season in the outing, making him the second-fastest to that mark. To put perspective on how good Cole has been this season, he is only the 18th pitcher since 1900 to have a season with 300 strikeouts. Cole has a 2.56 ERA with a 12.6 K/9 in 200.1 innings this season. Cole is scheduled to make his next start Tuesday against the Mariners at T-Mobile Park.

Cole (17-5) picked up the win in Friday's 4-1 victory over the Royals, allowing one unearned run on four hits and two walks over eight innings while striking out 11.
EDGE Analysis
It looked like the right-hander might have to settle for a no-decision despite another dominant performance when Kansas City scratched across its run in the bottom of the eighth inning, until George Springer broke the 1-1 tie in the top of the ninth with a three-run blast. Cole has struck out double-digit batters in six straight starts and hasn't lost since May 22, and the only thing that might be standing between him and a Cy Young Award is teammate Justin Verlander -- the duo ranks first and second in strikeouts, ERA and WHIP among qualified starters. Cole will carry a 2.62 ERA and 292:45 K:BB through 192.1 innings into his next outing Wednesday, at home against the Rangers.

Cole (16-5) allowed one run on one hit with no walks and 15 strikeouts across eight innings while earning a victory against the Mariners on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
With the offense scoring more than 20 runs, the Astros hardly needed a stellar outing from Cole, but they got it anyway, and he could have easily gone the distance, as he threw 96 pitches to get through eight frames. This was the fifth straight game where Cole posted at least 10 strikeouts, and his third consecutive outing with 13-plus punchouts. He's also won 12 straight decisions, as Cole hasn't lost since May 22. Cole, who will next start at the Royals on Friday, owns a 2.73 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 281 strikeouts in 184.1 innings this season.
