Stone did not factor into the decision in a loss to the Phillies on Wednesday, allowing three runs on six hits and one walk over 4.2 innings. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
After surrendering a leadoff homer to Kyle Schwarber to open the contest, Stone managed to keep the Phillies off the scoreboard over the next three innings. However, the right-hander began to struggle in the fifth, giving up hits to two of the first three batters he faced before eventually being relieved by Alex Vesia with two outs in the frame. It marked the second start in a row in which Stone was unable to make it through five innings, and he's now surrendered at least three runs in three straight outings. Stone has also coughed up at least one home run in six consecutive starts, posting a 19:7 K:BB over that stretch.

Stone (9-5) allowed five runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out five over four-plus innings to take the loss Friday versus the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
Stone gave up multiple home runs for the second start in a row, as Shea Langeliers and Seth Brown each took him deep for solo shots in the fourth inning. Stone stayed in for the fifth, but he couldn't get an out, and Joe Kelly also allowed an inherited runner to score on a two-run home run by Brent Rooker. This was the fourth time in five outings that Stone has given up at least four runs. He now has a 3.63 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 87:31 K:BB across 111.2 innings through 20 starts this year. Walker Buehler (hip) will require another rehab start, so Stone is likely to get at least one more turn through the rotation, which is tentatively projected to be at home versus the Phillies. With River Ryan pitching well in his first stint in the majors, Stone's place in the rotation over the remainder of August is up in the air.

Stone (9-4) took the loss Friday as the Dodgers fell 5-0 to the Astros, giving up four runs on nine hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
The Los Angeles offense couldn't get anything going against Framber Valdez and the Houston bullpen, but Stone didn't help his cause by serving up long balls to Alex Bregman and Jon Singleton. The right-hander managed to last six innings for the first time in four July starts, but his 6.27 ERA, 1.93 WHIP and 12:5 K:BB through 18.2 innings on the month are still rough. His spot in the rotation is safe for now, but once Walker Buehler (hip) is ready to return, Stone could be fighting for one job with River Ryan and Justin Wrobleski, and that's before considering any trade deadline additions for the team. Stone is scheduled to make his next start on the road next weekend in Oakland.

Stone allowed a run on six hits and struck out three without walking a batter over five innings Friday versus the Red Sox. He did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Stone was on the hook for a tough-luck loss until Freddie Freeman's grand slam in the eighth inning saved the Dodgers. After allowing eight runs over 7.2 innings across his last two appearances before the All-Star break, this was an encouraging performance from Stone. The right-hander is now at a 3.19 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 79:28 K:BB through 101.2 innings over 18 starts this season. With the Dodgers potentially welcoming back Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) and Tyler Glasnow (back) next week, it's unclear when Stone will start again. The Dodgers open next week with a four-game set at home versus the Giants before traveling to Houston for a three-game series.

Stone (9-3) took the loss Wednesday, giving up four runs on nine hits over 4.2 innings as the Dodgers were downed 4-3 by the Phillies. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Kyle Schwarber drove Stone's third pitch of the game over the fence in left field, and the right-hander never seemed to regain his focus, leaving the mound after 77 pitches (52 strikes). Since firing a shutout against the White Sox on June 26, Stone has been tagged for eight runs over 7.2 innings in his last two outings. Despite the stumbles, he sports a 3.26 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 76:28 K:BB through 96.2 innings on the year. He'll get a chance to regroup, as he's not scheduled to make another start until after the All-Star break.

Stone did not factor into the decision in a loss to Arizona on Wednesday, allowing four runs on seven hits and three walks over three innings while striking out three.
EDGE Analysis
Stone battled with Arizona's lineup from the jump, allowing three of the first four batters to reach in the opening frame before allowing another three baserunners in the second. He then surrendered three runs on four hits in the third, including a two-run homer off the bat of Gabriel Moreno as the Diamondbacks evened the score at 4-4. The right-hander would not return for the fourth after needing 77 pitches to get through three frames, marking his shortest outing since April 7 against the Cubs. Stone had gone at least five innings in 11 consecutive starts coming in, though he's now walked multiple batters in five of his last six.

Stone (9-2) picked up the win over the White Sox on Wednesday, allowing four hits and no walks in a complete-game shutout while striking out seven.
EDGE Analysis
Stone was spectacular Wednesday, matching his season high with seven strikeouts en route to recording the first complete game of his major-league career. The right-hander retired the side in order in five of his nine frames and didn't allow a runner to reach second base outside of a leadoff double from Gavin Sheets to open the second. Stone has now won each of his last five decisions (spanning six starts) and has also posted at least six strikeouts in five of his last six outings. Furthermore, Wednesday marked the first time that he didn't walk a batter in his last five starts.

Stone (8-2) earned the win over Colorado on Thursday, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out seven batters over 5.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Stone performed well in the Colorado altitude, as none of the four hits against him went for extra bases. The right-hander was working on a shutout through five frames but fell off in the sixth inning, loading the bases with one out on a pair of walks and a single before getting the hook. Two of those three runners scored after his departure, but that didn't prevent Stone from registering the win. The 25-year-old has become a key part of Los Angeles' rotation in his first full MLB campaign, leading the team with eight victories while posting a 3.04 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 63:25 K:BB over 80 innings.

Stone allowed three runs on four hits and two walks while striking out three over seven innings in a no-decision versus the Royals on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Stone's three-start winning streak was snapped, but he picked up his first quality start over three outings in June. The right-hander has been steady this year -- this was just the fourth time in 13 starts he's given up three runs. He's now at a 3.01 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 56:23 K:BB over 74.2 innings. Stone is projected to make his next start at Colorado.

Stone (7-2) earned the win over the Yankees on Saturday, allowing two runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out six batters over 5.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
It looked like Stone could be in for a rough outing when he allowed a single to each of the first two batters he faced in the first inning, but he recovered to retire Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton and Anthony Rizzo without allowing a run to score. The right-hander allowed New York to plate one run in each of the following two frames, but he was able to navigate through 5.2 innings with just those two runs on his ledger. Stone needed some help when he departed with two outs and the bases full of Yankees in the sixth, and Alex Vesia provided that assistance by getting Anthony Volpe to fly out to end the threat. Stone has recorded a victory in seven of his past 10 starts and has given up more than two runs just once during that span. He's shining in his first full big-league season, recording a 2.93 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 53:21 K:BB through 67.2 innings.
