Peguero began the season on the disabled list with a strained right wrist, but it appears he's finally making some progress. He missed a good chunk of spring training with the ailment, so the outfielder will probably need a good number of rehab at-bats. He could conceivably become an option for the Orioles sometime later this month.

Francisco Peguero has full range of motion with his strained right wrist and will begin strengthening exercises soon. Peguero had a cast on the wrist until Wednesday, and upon removal it was found he'd healed significantly. The outfielder will begin working his way back, but it's still unclear how long that might take.

Francisco Peguero (wrist) is likely to begin the season on the disabled list, reports MASN Baltimore's Roch Kubatko. Peguero is still shelved with a strained right wrist, an ailment which will require two more weeks of brace-wearing. "It's frustrating," he said. "I can't do anything right now. I'm here to make the team and I can't do it."

Francisco Peguero (wrist) hit off a tee Saturday. Peguero has been nursing a strained right wrist for about a week now but is starting to feel better. He could still have time to get ready for Opening Day if he avoids setbacks but probably isn't going to make the big league roster.
