Liriano (5-11) picked up the win Friday against the Royals, allowing four runs (one earned) on six hits and two walks across six innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
It was a solid effort for Liriano, who now has three straight quality starts. During the run, the veteran lefty has a 1.89 ERA across 19 innings of work, which has lowered his season ERA to a respectable 4.40. Liriano will look to continue the positive returns in his final start of the season, which is scheduled for Thursday against the Twins on the road.

Liriano (5-10) allowed three runs on five hits and two walks across seven innings to earn the win Sunday against Cleveland. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
Liriano allowed a run on three hits in the first inning before the home team plated another pair on two hits and two walks in the fourth. He settled down after that point and only allowed one other hitter to reach via a hit batsman the rest of the way. Liriano has now delivered back-to-back quality starts, striking out 14 and allowing just three earned runs across 13 innings in that span. The left-hander will make his next start Friday against the Royals.

Liriano (4-10) took the loss Monday against the Astros, allowing three unearned runs on four hits and four walks across six innings. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
Liriano's control was a bit spotty, but he otherwise pitched well against a strong Houston lineup. All of the damage came in the third inning, when the Astros scored three times following an error by Ronny Rodriguez. That was plenty for ace Justin Verlander, and Liriano ended up getting saddled with a tough-luck loss in a 3-2 game. The veteran lefty has been solid in his last two outings, allowing just two earned runs in 11 innings of work with 12 strikeouts to lower his season ERA to 4.65. He'll look to continue the positive momentum in his next start, which is scheduled for Sunday in Cleveland.

Liriano (4-9) recorded the win Tuesday against the White Sox, as he allowed three runs (two earned) on seven hits and a walk across five innings of work. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
While this wasn't a great outing, it was a step in the right direction for Liriano. This was the first time since Aug. 5 that the veteran righty allowed two earned runs or fewer, and amazingly this was his first win since April 28. Liriano still has an unsightly 4.90 ERA, and he looks like a shaky option in his next start, which is scheduled for Monday against a strong Astros lineup.

Liriano allowed five runs (four earned) on seven hits and two walks across 4.1 innings in a no-decision against the Yankees Thursday. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
Liriano was roughed up by a tough New York lineup, with sluggers Giancarlo Stanton and Gleyber Torres each taking him deep. The veteran lefty now has a disappointing 4.96 ERA this season as he continues to be hard to trust in fantasy. He'll look to bounce back in his next start, which is scheduled for Tuesday against the White Sox.

Liriano is scheduled to make his next start Thursday against the Yankees, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Tigers' open date in the schedule Monday allowed the team to shuffle its rotation, so manager Ron Gardenhire will have Matthew Boyd and Michael Fulmer start on their normal four days' rest Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively, in Kansas City. That will afford seven days of rest between starts for Liriano, though it comes with the misfortune of matching up against one of baseball's top offenses in a hitter-friendly environment at Yankee Stadium.

Liriano (3-9) allowed four runs on seven hits and two walks over 5.1 innings to take the loss Wednesday against the Cubs. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Liriano has now lost his past four starts, a stretch in which he's posted a 6.88 ERA across 17 innings of work. On the bright side, the veteran lefty made it into the sixth inning for the first time since July 4, but Liriano is still trending in the wrong direction toward the end of the season. He'll look to avoid loss No. 10 in his next outing, which is scheduled for Tuesday in Kansas City.

Liriano (3-8) allowed eight runs (four earned) in just 1.2 innings to take the loss Thursday against the Twins. He gave up five hits and three walks, while striking out one.
EDGE Analysis
For the second time in as many starts, Liriano took a loss against Minnesota. The veteran lefty wasn't done any favors with the four unearned runs, but he didn't pitch well either. After a good start to the season, Liriano has regressed as expected, and he now carries a 4.72 ERA. He'll look to turn it around in his next outing, which is scheduled for Wednesday against the Cubs, but Liriano is very hard to trust at this point.

Liriano (4-6) threw five innings Sunday, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks in the 6-0 loss to Oakland. He took the loss, striking out three batters and yielding a homer.
EDGE Analysis
Liriano held Oakland in check before Khris Davis took him deep in the fourth inning for a solo shot. The veteran lefty lowered his ERA slightly after Sunday's outing, now sitting at 4.37 in 90.2 innings this year. His control has been a bit of a problem all season, with a rough 73:51 K:BB. He'll look for his first win since April against the Twins at home on Saturday.

Liriano, who was scratched from his scheduled start Saturday due to an allergic reaction suffered the day before, pitched two scoreless innings of relief in Sunday's loss to the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
The Tigers acknowledged they were being overly cautious by scratching Liriano Saturday, and his relief appearance seems to confirm that he should be healthy moving forward. The veteran lefty is slated to make his next start Friday in Oakland, though with the team having two off days this coming week, the rotation could get adjusted to give Liriano added rest after tossing 30 pitches Sunday.
