Felix Pie has officially agreed to a contract with the Hanwah Eagles of the Korean Baseball Organization. Pie, a former top prospect with the Cubs, batted .138 with a .366 OPS in 31 plate appearances this past season with the Pirates. It's likely a one-year deal.

Pie has received just 31 plate appearances in the majors over the last two seasons, so he's going to try his luck overseas. He batted .251/.325/.390 with eight homers and 38 steals at Triple-A in 2013.

Felix Pie has elected free agency. Pie had already been slated for free agency in a couple days, but he gets a head start after the Pirates removed him from their 40-man roster. The outfielder had four hits in 29 at-bats this season for Pittsburgh.

Braves signed OF Felix Pie to a minor league contract. Pie was hitting .360 with three homers and 12 RBI in 13 games for the Camden Riversharks of the independent Atlantic League. He's been sent to Triple-A Gwinnett, where he'll provide outfield depth for the Braves.

Felix Pie is back in the Indians' lineup Wednesday against the Giants. Pie exited Sunday's Cactus League game after crashing into the center-field wall, but he was able to avoid serious injury. The 27-year-old is competing for a reserve outfielder job this spring.

Pie was removed from Sunday's Cactus League game with what were originally diagnosed as concussion-likely symptoms after running into the outfield wall. But he did not suffer a head injury, and should be able to resume his quest for an Opening Day bench spot later this week.
