Scribner (back) was placed on the 15-day DL on Sunday, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Scribner missed the entirety of spring training with back issues and isn't expected to return until mid-May at the earliest. As a result, Scribner could ultimately get transferred to the 60-day DL if the Mariners have a need at any point in the next month and a half to open up a 40-man roster spot.

Scribner could be placed on the 60-day disabled list if the Mariners need an extra roster spot, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Scribner has been dealing with a strained latissimus in his back, and his recovery has been going much slower than planned. General manager Jerry Dipoto said that they currently do not need the spot, but the right-hander is not expected to appear within the first month or so of the season, so it is still a possibility should that need arise.

Scribner's (back) season debut could be pushed back further after a recent evaluation, Bob Dutton of The News Tribune reports. "I don't know all of the details of that," manager Scott Servais said, "but the feeling I got is it wasn't great. So it's not progressing as he or we had hoped."
EDGE Analysis
Already expected to begin the season on the disabled list, Scribner's recovery from a strained latissimus in his back hasn't gone as planned. As a result, it's unclear when he'll be cleared to take part in bullpen workouts, but his previously proposed return date of mid-to-late April seems to be on shaky ground.

Scribner (back) will likely open the season on the disabled list, the Tacoma News-Tribune's Bob Dutton reports.
EDGE Analysis
He has had lat issues several other times in his career, so the Mariners plan to be careful brining him back. Tony Zych and Joel Peralta should garner more seventh and eighth inning appearances while Scribner is out.

Scribner (shoulder) and the Mariners agreed to terms on a one-year deal Friday, avoiding arbitration, the Tacoma News Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Scribner was acquired from Oakland last month after he went 2-2 with a 4.35 ERA in 54 games in 2015. His season ended in September due to a torn lat muscle, and he continues to rehab in advance of spring training.

Scribner was traded to the Mariners on Tuesday for Trey Cochran-Gill, Jeff Passan of Yahoo! Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
The results for Scribner in recent seasons have not been as good as the peripherals would suggest. He turned in a 4.35 ERA in 54 appearances with the A's in 2015, but his xFIP was more than 150 points lower thanks to a 26.9 percent strikeout rate and minuscule 1.7 percent walk rate. While Scribner is not much of a groundball pitcher (career 37.7% GB%), his inflated HR/FB numbers from the past two years seem likely to improve given his pre-2014 marks and the move to another pitcher's park in Seattle.

Scribner was placed on the 60-day disabled list Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Scribner was already ruled out for the remainder of the season, so the move was made to open up a spot on the 40-man roster for the newly-acquired Daniel Coulombe. Scribner will continue rehabbing to return for spring training in 2016.

Scribner (shoulder) has a torn lat and is out for the remainder of the season, reports Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle.
EDGE Analysis
Scribner started the season very well and sat with an ERA of 2.20 through the first two months of the season. Since June 1st, Scribner has been a disaster with an ERA of 6.32 and 11 homers allowed in 31.1 innings. Assuming the lat injury is healed, Scribner will compete for a job in the A's pen next spring.

Scribner is dealing with a scapula issue and will see a doctor Tuesday, MLB.com's Jane Lee reports.
EDGE Analysis
With the A's out of contention, Scribner will not pitch again this season unless everything checks out with his shoulder. His 4.35 ERA isn't very impressive, but his 2.79 xFIP and 64:4 K:BB ratio over 60 innings suggest that there might be something more in the profile.
