Tigers manager A.J. Hinch suggested during his appearance Tuesday on MLB Network Radio on SiriusXM that Haase is in store for an expanded role. "I'm going to give him as much playing time as I can," Hinch said.
EDGE Analysis
Injuries to Wilson Ramos (spine) and Grayson Greiner (hamstring) facilitated Haase's call-up from Triple-A Toledo on May 12, and the 28-year-old catcher has been a revelation since arriving in Detroit. Through 74 plate appearances, Haase is hitting .265 with seven home runs, three doubles and a triple. A 33.8 percent strikeout rate will make it tough for him to maintain a high batting average, but Haase's power is legitimate and should be enough for him to get steady reps. Haase has thus far split time at catcher with Jake Rogers, who is regarded as the superior defender of the two. Even if the Tigers grow dissatisfied with Haase's work behind the plate, he'll have alternative paths to playing time thanks to his ability to play left field and first base.

Haase went 2-for-4 with a pair of homers and three RBI in Saturday's 4-3 win over the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Haase got to Lucas Giolito for a two-run homer in the second inning and connected for a solo shot against Chicago's ace two innings later. Haase, who's now homered three times in the last two games, is hitting .266/.329/.656 with seven long balls and 11 RBI on the campaign.

Haase went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and a walk in Friday's 9-8 loss to the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Haase failed to reach in his first two at-bats of the night but singled, homered and walked in his final three plate appearances. Friday marked his second multi-hit and multi-RBI performances in his last three games and he's now slashing .250/.318/.567 with five homers, eight RBI and 12 runs scored since being promoted May 12.

Haase went 2-for-3 with two talks, two solo home runs and three runs scored in Tuesday's win over the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Haase doubled his season home run total with solo blasts in the second and third innings. The reserve catcher has seen more playing time lately with Wilson Ramos (back) and Grayson Greiner (hamstring) both on the injured list, but despite Tuesday's outburst, Haase doesn't project to be a consistent fantasy asset moving forward.

Haase is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
Haase will be on the bench against a right-handed pitcher (Triston McKenzie) for the second day in a row, which seemingly suggests that the Tigers aren't prepared to hand him a full-time role just yet. The righty-hitting Haase should still draw regular starts against left-handed pitching while filling in at either catcher or left field when he's included in the lineup.

Haase is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
Two of Haase's last three starts have come in left field, but he'll likely see most of his work behind the plate for the foreseeable future after Wilson Ramos (back) joined Grayson Greiner (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list Monday. Jake Rogers will get a turn behind the dish Tuesday while Haase rests after he caught all nine innings in Monday's 6-5 loss while going 0-for-5 with three strikeouts.

Haase is serving as the starting catcher in Monday's game against Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
Haase had started in seven of the last eight games, as he saw increased playing time in left field. Wilson Ramos (back) was placed on the injured list Monday, so Haase will likely serve as the primary catcher while Ramos and Grayson Greiner (hamstring) are sidelined. In his last seven games, Haase has gone 8-for-27 with two home runs, a double, four RBI, three runs and seven strikeouts.

Haase will start in left field and bat fifth Sunday against the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Haase's ability to catch and play left field has created two pathways to a spot in the lineup, and manager A.J. Hinch hasn't been shy about using the 28-year-old following his May 12 promotion from Triple-A Toledo. He'll be making his eighth start in 10 games after going 9-for-27 with a pair of home runs and two doubles since his call-up.

Haase went 2-for-4 with a run scored in Friday's win over the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Notably, Haase started in left field for just the second time this season. The 28-year-old typically plays catcher, but he's shown a little more versatility recently and has been able to earn more regular playing time as a result, with Friday's contest marking the sixth straight start for Haase.

Haase went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs in Monday's 4-1 win over Seattle.
EDGE Analysis
Haase had just one homer in 65 career plate appearances entering Monday's game. He opened the game's scoring with a solo shot in the second before adding an insurance run with another homer in the ninth. He's 5-for-17 with four extra-base hits since being promoted from Triple-A Toledo.
