Clase picked up a one-inning save in Friday's 10-8 victory over the Pirates, working around solo homer while striking out one.
EDGE Analysis
With this 13-pitch effort, Clase reached the 40-save plateau for the third time in his career and trails only Ryan Helsley (41) for the MLB lead. It wasn't a clean save though, as the Cleveland closer allowed his second homer of the season -- a leadoff solo shot by Andrew McCutchen -- snapping a streak of nine straight scoreless appearances. Overall, Clase now sports a paltry 0.71 ERA, 0.68 WHIP and K:BB across 63.1 innings this season.

Clase pitched a scoreless ninth inning to record his 39th save of the season Wednesday against the Royals, allowing one hit and striking out one.
EDGE Analysis
Clase allowed a one-out single to Bobby Witt, but he retired the next two batters to secure the 7-5 win for Cleveland. The 26-year-old has not allowed an earned run since all the way back on July 7 as he continues his historically dominant season. Clase owns a microscopic 0.58 ERA and 0.67 WHIP, with a 54:8 K:BB in 62.1 innings, converting 39-of-42 save opportunities. Clase's 0.58 ERA would be the second-lowest ever recorded in a single season (minimum 50 innings pitched), only bested by Zack Britton (0.54) in 2016, per StatMuse.

He's delivered 18 consecutive innings without allowing an earned run, lowering his ERA to 0.60 through 60.1 innings. Clase struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the save in Monday's 9-8 win over the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Clase had already pitched both Saturday and Sunday, but he made quick work of the Cubs, needing just 10 pitches to earn a save for the third day in a row. That's likely to make him unavailable Tuesday should a save chance arise, though Hunter Gaddis and Cade Smith will be fresh as two of the Guardians' relievers that didn't appear Monday. Clase is now 36-for-39 in save chances with a 0.65 ERA, 0.65 WHIP and 49:7 K:BB through 55.1 innings this season.

Clase allowed two hits and a walk while striking out one over a scoreless inning to earn the save in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Clase allowed multiple baserunners for the first time since July 9. He loaded the bases with no outs, then got Willi Castro to strike out and Trevor Larnach to ground into a double play to end the threat. The save was Clase's 35th of the season, keeping him comfortably in second in the majors behind only St. Louis' Ryan Helsley (37). Clase doesn't often give up much either -- he has a 0.66 ERA, 0.66 WHIP and 47:7 K:BB through 54.1 innings this season. Since he's pitched consecutive days, he may not be available for a save opportunity Monday versus the Cubs, which could lead to a rare chance for Cade Smith, Scott Barlow or Hunter Gaddis.
