Elijah Dukes was arrested in Tampa on Monday night on a warrant related to several previous charges. Things just keep getting worse for the former top prospect. The warrant was related to a February 2012 arrest when he attempted to eat marijuana out of bag after being pulled over for a routine traffic stop. As a result, he was charged with destroying evidence, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended or revoked license. Monday's arrest carried a new charge of driving with a suspended or revoked license. As of Tuesday morning, he was being held without bail. The 27-year-old hasn't appeared in the majors since 2009 as a member of the Nationals.

More trouble for the former top prospect. Dukes, who has been arrested five times over the past year, was pulled over after committing a traffic violation. He faces charges of tampering with physical evidence, possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a cancelled, suspended or revoked license. His bail was set at $4,750. The 27-year-old hasn't appeared in a major league game since 2009 and is unlikely to get another chance.
